Last weekend I spent biking across three little islands down in Hiroshima and didn't get the Bedtime Story recorded properly. This weekend, however, it got done! Well, recorded. I am handing it to Mr. Tech at this very moment. He'll edit, do levels, and add background music, so it will be up here by the end of today (Japan time). Soon!

For the time being, I went out last night and recorded some rice field frogs for meditative or zoning out or mind-maddening purposes. All depending on what you think about frogs.

I'm not sure how much you're into this kind of thing (the binaural mic'd ambient Japan sounds all on their own). This recording I did straight to MP3 and Mr. Tech chastised me, saying I should have recording much higher (WAV) and then he could adjust the levels and put on an easily downloadable MP3 file. If you do dig this - and care about good sound - I'll do that from now on. This time I just wanted to get something funky out to you all  ASAP.

For now, my sweethearts, I give you a 15-minute chorus of randy amphibians.

XO,

terrie

P.S. I'll put together a Patron's Only little post of photos from the bike trip in the next couple days.

Downloaded it and put it on my phone to use a background when I'm reading. Love the graphic that comes with it.

Uncanny Japan -- Thersa Matsuura

Oh, that will be a noisy one. I'm going to try and drive to the port this weekend. It's not far and I love the sound of boats squeaking against each other.
