Bedtime Story - The Melon Princess and the Heavenly Demon (Patreon)

Okay, this is finally up and hopefully sounding really nice. 

Here we have The Melon Princess and the Heavenly Demon R-version. It's not too bad, just a little flay-y. 

The beginning of the story starts the same. However, things take a different turn after the amanojaku tricks the girl into letting him into the house. Something similar to this version is usually told up in northern Japan where stories tend to be more violent and unforgiving. Sometimes he pushes her out of a tree. Sometimes she falls down into a river and drowns. Then there's this...

The photo is one I took on my trip down to Hiroshima a month or so ago. I didn't even realize it at the time, but it's an amanojaku. I was just taking a photo of this wonderful squished creature under a fountain. Whaddaya know!
