Bedtime Story: "Sasa's Rouged Cheeks, Sasa's Reddened Lips" (Patreon)

This story is from my short story collection The Carp-Faced Boy. I was just recently asked to read it on a radio program here in Japan. In English. Which was fun and interesting. Not sure how many listeners understood, but it made me remember I really liked the story. 

Originally, I started to write it because I realized I had never written a fight scene and that seemed very intriguing to me. But the heart of the piece is a doomed love story. After writing this I sat down with my best friend and we mapped out an entire backstory and future for the characters, turning it into one big anime. Doubt that will ever happen, but for now Sasa and Choushichi have this little tale about their time together.
