Happy Halloween!

For this month's Bedtime Story, I give you a ghost. Or more specifically, "Strength from a Ghost". I had fun reimagining this not-so-exciting tale. You can probably very easily pick out the issues I've been wrestling with during the pandemic. Very transparent, I am. But they worked well with the original and I liked the way it all came together in the end.

I hope you like it.

Everyone, please, take care. I'm exhausted and crawling into bed. The newest podcast will be ready to put up when I wake up tomorrow. I'm almost done with the blog post about it. And, yes, there will be more ghosts in that one, too.

P.S. Spooky background vibe provided by my son Julyan.

P.P.S Oh, and look what I made! It's a matcha flavored mochi treat with pumpkin flavored shiro an (sweetened white beans), and a dried piece of cranberry on top. I made them for my handful of students last week.

Would you like the recipe? It's mostly made up. I worry that you might not be able to find the different flours/powders to make the wrapping. But I think you might be able to be creative and use something else as a substitute.

物語をありがとうございました!本当に好き。What a privilege to have listened to this story. I found myself imagining it as an anime or manga. Probably because you tell it so viscerally and visually.
