So the other day my microphone crapped out on me. Richard and I tried for about a month or so to figure out what was wrong with it to no avail. Meanwhile, I used the old Audio Technica at2020, which still sounds just fine to me. But considering I want to record more stories in the future, and it's about time I leveled up in the mic department, and I really, really have been wanting a new mic, I can say, thanks to all of you and your support I was able to procure myself a Shure sm7b. 

The level of giddiness is palpable, I tell you. I think I real-live squee'd. We been fiddling with it and trying it out, and I can't wait to record the next podcast on it.

I want to do a proper end of the year thank you next month (on my new mic, no less!). But for now, I just wanted to let you all know how much you mean to me and how, because of your support, I'll be able to make even better sounding recordings. I think Richard is awfully pleased as well. It will make his job a little easier, too.

Oh, I also jerry-rigged me a standing desk. So, we'll see how that combination works on the next episode.
