Hello, All!

Putting up this month's Bedtime Story. I found a really nice bunch of little essays from Lafadio Hearn when he was traveling during the summer season of obon. Observations and some stories her heard from local residents.

Loved this. Credit first to Lafcadio and Thersa read it beautifully. I recommend to listen to this three or four times, each time I hear something new.

Well tjis worked for its intended purpose. I have a big day today, but woke up at 2 and couodnt get back to sleep. Found this at 4 am and got another 2 hours. Your voice is like magic. :) and now I get to listen to it all over again because my dreams kind of warped what you were actually saying.

That makes me so happy. I, too, have rotten insomnia, but have found certain voices ease me back to sleep. I hope you didn't have warped dreams too. I used to listen to "If This is Man" by Primo Levi, I loved the narrators voice. But the subject matter was so intense I began have horrible dreams and had to stop. I guess Lafcadio isn't so bad. ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

2026-09-06 01:00 I've lost count of the number of times I've heard this audio. But I always cry at the end with the story of the two brothers.
