Various Update Goodness (Patreon)

Hey hey, is everyone doing well? Nothing crazy happening? As in bad crazy, fun crazy is allowed. 

1) They haven't released the official table of contents, but the editor gave a bit of an okay for us to spill the beans about the anthology.It's a folk horror anthology that has had a volume 1 & 2 (header photo shows cool cover art) and this will be their last volume coming up. The publisher is called Nosetouch Press and seems to lean toward folk horror titles. Neato. It won't be out until next year, though. Which is usually how it works anyway. So I'm fine with that. I have more stories to write. 

Again, my piece is called "Child of the Gods" and it's based on the children's song, Toryanse. Oh, and the Carp-Faced Boy (freaky deaky character that occasionally appears in my stories) shows up in it as well. I love him so much. Maybe he's good luck? 

So I wanted to share that. 

2) Also! We reached 300 patrons! Over 300, actually ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡, and I am both over the moon and wondering what can I do to thank you? I want to do something special.At the moment, I'm thinking of visiting some interesting place/shrine/temple, something with history and a story behind it, and taking some video, photos, do a little research and then making a little Patrons Only content. Kind of like the podcast but with video and no intro outro stuff. A little more personal. 

Unless, anyone has any other good ideas. I'm all ears, just let me know. (Oh, that reminds me, I can ask this over on Discord, too. Note to self: do that.) 

3) And last in news: Uncanny Robot Podcast got nominated for three award for the New Jersey Web Fest. 

I'm not sure what that means exactly. But it's lovely and it might get us some more listeners, too. One of those is for Julyan's music for the show. Which is HUGELY ironic because when I asked him to come up with a little something I didn't realize he was down with Covid. He didn't tell me (didn't want me to worry, I guess). So he wrote something both Richard and I loved and apologized that he had a high fever and was absolutely laid out, he'd fix it up later. We said, no worries and went with what he gave us. And he got a nomination! 😂
