I've been working on this a whole lot more than the Bedtime Story. Sorry. I'm proud of myself (that I was able to put it together at all), but I also know it's a long way from being really good. But that's okay, I'll keep trying ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ.

Today I wanted to share some photos and video clips of our day trip to Aichi Prefecture. A couple days before we went, a friend of mine recommended the Korankei Gorge. He said that it was stunning this time of year. I went to look at Google maps and check out the latest photos to make sure the autumn leaves were still pretty. Alas, I misjudged. You'll see. It was still really nice though. The second place I found by randomly zooming in on temples and shrines on Google maps. We didn't get there until later in the afternoon, but Toyokawa Inari Shrine (it's actually a complex of a whole bunch of temples and shrines) was really cool. We'll definitely have to go back when we have more time.

I know some of you have never been to Japan, some have been and studied/worked and lived but aren't here at the moment, and some would like to come and explore in the future. This is just a little bit of a couple places near me that I hope you'll enjoy. XO,

After several months of deadlines, I rewarded myself with a day trip. I convinced Richard to be my navigator and we visited two places. 1. Korankei = https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3316.html 2. Toyokawa Inari = https://www.japan.travel/en/spot/1216/ Here is a 5-minute video of the highlights of the trip.

I honestly think it was wonderful to see the comparison of what it should be to what it was, but I love the fact that it is so wonderfully changing and dynamic. And I still found it relaxing! Keep doing you!

Uncanny Japan -- Thersa Matsuura

After the long drive I was so expecting what I had seen online, my heart took a little dive. But then I though, Hey! No crowds! Then found that gohei mochi and everything was better. (Really should have bought two though).
