Hello, everyone~ ✨
I hope you are all well and winding down for the end of the year, getting excited about the new one, too.
I am finally getting the Bedtime Story up, so sorry for the delay. There's no heat in the "studio" and lots of gusty, howling wind and banging shutters (neighbor's), so it's been hard to sit down and record. But I finally was able to do so. Instead of two shorter pieces for November and December, I picked a longer Lafcadio Hearn essay about foxes. "Kitsune".It's quite interesting. Lots of little things and observations that I just love. It also comes in at a little over an hour in length. I've had some patrons say they liked longer stories/readings, so this will be that. Like I said, lots of neat stuff he talks about, but it might also work for a sleep instigator if you'd like.
One thing I'd like to mention here that I forgot on the recording is that Hearn Sensei talks about so many foxes with broken noses and tails. I can honestly say I've seen more headless ojizo that kitsune with snapped off noses and tails. As a matter of fact, I've never seen a kitsune with broken nose. It was a sad observation he made that I'm happy to see has changed through the years.
And finally, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being patrons and friends and supporting the show. I'm wishing you all a very wonderful, cheerful, and warm Merry Christmas and holiday season right on through to the New Year. Yoi Otoshi wo!
Next year I'm planning on more day and overnight trips, as well as the adventure up to Hokkaido and back. With all of that I want to make more fun and unique content to share here.
Speaking of which, there's Joya no Kane (ringing the temple bell at midnight on New Year's Eve), Hatsu Hinode (watching the sunrise one Jan. first, there should be dancing and fun music), AND Hatsumode (the first visit to the shrine), all of which I want to record, take photos of, and post here as well. So, I know you might be busy, but it'll all be here so you can see and hear how the end of the year and beginning of the year is celebrated in my neck of the woods.
Stay safe and well, XOXO,
terrie
