Recipe: Yuzu Pepper Sashimi-don (Patreon)
Content
The below is a recipe Richard came across and made and it was very, very good and very, very easy.
That's my photo and my apologies for not making it look better or getting it in focus. 😭
We couldn't get sashimi-grade flounder so just settled for tuna/chutoro. Personally, I think any sashimi would work.
This has the lovely yuzu fragrance, the punch of the pepper, and one of my favorite furikake Go Tos is shio konbu, so salt and umami there. The shiso leaves also add a great extra taste.
Let me know if you can't find the condiment yuzu pepper (yuzu kosho/柚子胡椒) and I'll see if I can find a good recipe for homemade.
Richard says:
This was simple to make and delicious. Yuzu pepper, shio Kombu and shiso leaves. We used tuna instead of flounder.
I think we're going to be buying yuzu pepper a lot more often from now on.
