v1.1.0 adds shared Relationship records across multiple Actors, optional GM approval for player Gifts, rank-gated Event Log entries, and Gift Item type filters. A progress integration API also connects the Tracker to modules such as Stylish Shop without exposing private Relationship data.

πŸ‘₯ Shared Relationships

GMs can link one Relationship across selected Actors by reusing an existing record or creating a matching record where needed.

Shared Details synchronizes the name, description, type, artwork, and display settings while each Actor keeps separate rank and progress values.

Shared Party Progress also synchronizes rank and progress across the linked Actors.

Player-visible notes and Event Log entries can be shared independently. GM-only notes and per-Actor permissions remain local.

Detaching a Relationship keeps its current data as an independent snapshot.

🎁 GM Approval for Player Gifts

A new world setting sends player Gift requests to the active GM for approval before inventory, progress, or Event Log data changes.

The GM receives a non-blocking review dialog styled for the active Relationship theme.

Approving the request applies the Gift. Rejecting it leaves the Item, Relationship progress, and Event Log unchanged.

Gifts given directly by a GM remain immediate, and the requesting player receives the approval result.

πŸ“– Rank-Gated Event Log Entries

Event Log entries now have a GM-only Reveal at Rank value from 0 to 99.

A value of 0 keeps the entry visible whenever its normal permissions allow it. Values from 1 to 99 reveal the entry when the Relationship reaches that rank.

The same rule applies in every Relationship theme and Scene Recall.

Lowering the rank hides the entry again. Players cannot edit, move, or delete an entry that has not been revealed.

πŸŽ’ Gift Item Type Filters

Relationship Settings detects the current game system's Item categories and lets the GM choose which types can be given as Gifts.

The filter applies to the Relationship archive, Quick Panel, Manager test runs, and GM-side Gift resolution.

Abilities and other non-inventory Item types can be kept out of Gift lists without changing the source Items.

πŸ”Œ Relationship Progress Integration API

Other modules can read visible Relationship rank and progress data, then request progress changes through the active GM.

Read results include the exact rank, current-rank progress, Tracker terminology, and safe progress ratios. Private notes, Event Log data, and locked Relationships are excluded.

Positive and negative changes can cross multiple ranks, follow shared Relationship groups, run automatic unlock checks, and publish a data-safe change hook to connected clients.

Absolute external credits use a private bounded cursor. Retrying an interrupted cross-module write cannot add the same progress twice.

✏️ Manager and Settings Readability

The Event Log editor now calls its text field Display Rank Label, separating it from the Reveal at Rank condition.

Relationship Manager explains that Event Log entries and Rank Macro triggers are separate, and shows whether each gated entry is pending or revealed.

Explanatory text is larger in Relationship Manager and module settings.

Stylish Relationship Tracker Feature Showcase

Get immediate access to the module (Patreon Exclusive): https://www.patreon.com/c/glitchsmith Give every relationship in your Foundry VTT world a screen of its own. Stylish Relationship Tracker lets you record character bonds, organization reputation, gifts, memories, and rank changes through six complete visual themes. System-Agnostic and optimized for Foundry v14 (compatible with v13). KEY FEATURES 🎨 Six Complete Visual Themes Included Themes: Archive, Paper, Journal, Arcane Grimoire, Stellar Link, and Adventurer's Ledger. Theme-Specific Layouts: Each theme rebuilds the relationship screen, roster, typography, motion, Gift interface, and cinematic cut-ins around its own visual language. Flexible Artwork: Present portraits as full-body cutouts or inside a theme-specific frame. A separate list image can be assigned when a portrait does not crop well at roster size. πŸ‘₯ People & Organizations Character Relationships: Track allies, rivals, mentors, confidants, romantic interests, or any relationship type your campaign needs. Organization Reputation: Maintain a separate roster for factions, guilds, companies, cults, and governments, with dedicated reputation controls and cut-ins. Custom Terminology: Rename the central relationship value per Actor. Use Bond, Trust, Affinity, Link, Oath, or your own term. πŸ“ˆ Ranks, Memories & Records Progressive Ranks: Configure rank limits, progress steps, labels, relationship types, visibility, and player editing permissions for each entry. Events & Notes: Record important scenes, recollections, images, dates, and private GM notes as the relationship develops. Stats & Presets: Add custom stat cards and save reusable relationship presets for recurring campaign structures. Automation: Unlock hidden relationships automatically and run a Foundry Macro when a specific relationship rank or reputation level is reached. 🎁 A Full Gift System Use Existing Items: Give items directly from an Actor's inventory instead of maintaining a separate Gift currency or catalog. Configurable Reactions: Define Favorite, Liked, Neutral, Disliked, and Rejected responses. You can also create reaction types with custom progress, dialogue, images, and sound effects. GM-Controlled Rules: Match Gifts by item identity, name, type, or tag. Decide whether an item is consumed, what players can learn before giving it, and whether Gifts remain available at maximum rank. Theme-Specific Presentation: Every theme includes its own Gift selection interface and completed-Gift cut-in. 🎬 Cinematic Relationship Moments Themed Cut-ins: Rank Up, Rank Down, Maximum Rank, Unlock, Gift, and Reputation changes use presentation built specifically for the active theme. Custom Media: Assign separate images and sound effects, then adjust image scale and position from the Manager preview. Live Feedback: Relationship progress, ranks, lists, and map nodes update for connected players without reopening the tracker. πŸ—ΊοΈ Relationship Map Constellation View: Display an Actor's known relationships as an interactive network instead of a flat list. Configurable Reach: Control map depth, node limits, visibility, and generated thumbnails from the Actor profile. ⚑ Quick Relationship Panel Token-Based Workflow: Select your own token, target another token, and open a compact relationship panel directly from the scene. Immediate Controls: Review the relationship, adjust progress, and give Gifts without opening the full-screen tracker. Permission-Aware: Players can interact with eligible relationships without requiring ownership of the target Actor; authoritative changes remain GM-controlled. πŸ› οΈ GM Authoring Tools Relationship Manager: Create and edit people, organizations, notes, stats, rank triggers, Gift Profiles, artwork, and theme sound effects from one resizable console. Built-In Previews: Test relationship screens, rank cut-ins, and Gift reactions before presenting them to players. Access Control: Configure visibility and editing permissions per relationship while keeping GM-only records private. πŸ”§ Technical Specifications Required Module: GlitchSmith Library v0.9.0 or newer. System Agnostic: Designed to work across game systems rather than requiring a specific character sheet. Multiplayer Synced: Relationship changes and cinematic feedback are synchronized across connected clients. πŸ”— LINKS & RESOURCES Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/glitchsmith Compatibility: Foundry VTT v14 (Optimized) & v13

Skye Burnett

It would be awesome if two actors who had a relationship with one another could sync their relational progress with one another, as opposed to the current behaviour of them having independent levels/progress. This way when one is updated, the other would automatically update to match it. This is particularly useful for if the module is used between player actors.

The Glitch Smith

This is already available in v1.1.0 through the new Shared Relationships feature. In the Relationship Manager, click Manage sharing, link the corresponding Relationship records on both Actors, and select Shared party progress. Their rank and progress will then update together whenever either linked Relationship changes. It is opt-in rather than automatic, so existing Relationships remain independent until you link them.

This looks awesome! I have a very specific style of game im running and i was wondering if you had a a more fantasy basee ui ?

The Glitch Smith

Thanks! And yes, there is a fantasy-style UI available as well.

RealDealDanger

Love the module so far! My players really love the look and feel of it! Question though! Are there plans to let us change the UI elements for custom ones that we make?

Thank you for the kind words! I’d like to support replacing more UI elements with your own custom assets in the future, but I can’t promise that feature yet. I’ll keep it in mind as I continue developing the module.
