Hey Peaches! With time running out to save Gemma everyone's making some wild swings. But Dillon's swing is by far the craziest, and most heart breaking.

You guys hit the nail on the head with the “gross” thing between Drummond and Milcheck. The whole show, but especially from the start of the season, has been touching on the racial power dynamic pretty well. Especially considering the clearly white-centric power structure of the Eagans and their treatment of Black people through history. From the paintings as pandering to trying to diminish Seth’s vocabulary to treating light-skinned Natalie as a privileged mouthpiece for their agenda to help subjugate others, and to infantilizing and manipulating Dylan and his family dynamic. It’s insidious and gross and very meticulously done. On a separate note with the paintings - if you go back to season one and closely examine Cobel’s paintings, Kier looks suspiciously like a male version of Harmony. The facial structure, the eyes, etc. So she clearly has also received the same “gift” and displayed them proudly.

ONE MORE - Gemma mentioned in episode 7 the drawings where it can be a bunny or a duck. Milcheck’s shelf behind his desk has a sculpture of that exact optical illusion. I noticed it earlier in the season and then she said it, a connection I hadn’t made on my first watch.
