KPop Demon Hunter Watch Along

Ryan

You can tell it is a great friendship when after all this time they still discover nerd stuff about each other like that

Change Comics

If I had a nickel for everytime I saw a movie this year where people fight monsters with the power of music and sharp objects that also highlights why the music is good with songs that is now stuck in my head and they are amazing…I’d have two nickels

Anna Stickabutter

Jay, Adam and Kpop are 3 of my favourite things. I am so locked and loaded for this reaction. Let’s gooo!

Anna Stickabutter

Gwi-Ma is played by the Frontman from Season 2/3 of Squid Game. Is there anything this man can’t do??

Drakoni

Only 10 minutes in. Seeing you all speechless on the opening is already everything! The most efficient world building, story setup while showing us why we should care, why it's an awesome concept. Love this movie!!

michael denny

Hey Jay! This was great, you should check out Stray Gods. It's a musical video game. Laura Baily kills it!!!

Drakoni

"I need Previewd in Demon Hunter outfits yesterday" Which ones specifically? 👀

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

Personal (Adam) I liked the bad ass leather DMC-ish gear they wore when they were going to take out the boy band.

solar_ia

welcome to the world of kpop! i'm so happy to see yall enjoy the movie. it feels really crazy for something that's been a part of my daily life for a long time now to crossover like this, and i'm so happy to share the wonderful feeling :D. The honmoon isn't gold because the gold was the honmoon that Rumi destroyed. When she was talking to Celine and saying if that was what the honmoon was gonna be she was gonna destroy it cuz it was built on hiding and lies. They created the new honmoon that shines the iridescent like Rumi's patterns. Also the singers at the end are members of Twice! They're a really popular girl group. Ngl if the honmoon was real, Twice would make it gold for sure haha

Not me earnestly wanting to suggest y'all watch Kingdom Legendary War now lol. Or at least that one Stray Kids performance, iykyk.

Eileen

LOVED this reaction I had so much fun watching you guys have fun & this movie was so beyond epic. Also I believe they confirmed a sequel or at least the creators are expressing interest in making one

Prim

This has been so much fun to rewatch with you guys! Speaking as a Korean expat who's also a magical girl anime + musical fan, this movie is truly everything to me, and seeing its reach explode almost-entirely organically these past few weeks has been mind-blowing. I was pleasantly surprised to see Adam enjoy it this much, and Jay's enthusiasm throughout this reaction was infectious! Happy to support you guys, and hope that more fun movies come your way! Quick addition: the food that Rumi scarfs down in the beginning is kimbap, not sushi; kimbap's often seasoned with sesame oil rather than rice vinegar like sushi, and uses a variety of meats and vegetables for fillings.

Thank you for the movie reactions, ever thought of doing a reaction to (Speed Racer) the movie? Just wondering if you would like it, there are actors in the movie you would like.

Bouhg

Just out of curiosity, wondering if either one of you guys have heard of KDA music videos? They’re a bit old as of now, & they are connected to the League of Legends media. Their music & videos are very similar & just as good as what was in this movie. Perhaps you guys could react to those, or just check them out on your time. If you liked this movie, I was just wondering what your thoughts would be on those.

Persephone

Would totally love to see you guys check out ‘Business Proposal’ — the actor that voices Jinu plays the male lead and the song that plays when Jinu and Rumi first see each other is from that show, and it was a surprise to the actor voicing Jinu, which is really cute— it’s super cute and funny and a great intro to k-drama

Cyber

Jay it sounded like you wanted more of a PIKE than an AXE (long glave that Mira had but with axe head?) :D

Cyber

that "oh we're gonna have a lot to talk about after" when they're in awe that they understood eachother's dated reference was such a nice thing to witness

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

We did an episode of Fix It about it. I, Adam, could only get about a hour into the film and then had to stop watching. It gave me motion sickness 😬

Ky McKenna

Love yalls reaction to this. I adore this movie and when I saw the short pop up in my feed teasing your reaction i raced here to check out the full thing. Loved that you enjoyed it so much.

John K

Jay is totally the orange ronin warrior

Porpoise Power

This could be amazing in a theater... like if they synched tracklighting to match the honmoon lines, and the audience cheering and signing along

Amy Story

WOW didn’t expect to hear a reference to Steven Curtis Chapman & Michael W Smith today 😂😂 fantastic reaction I know you mentioned at least one reactor (Wendy? But maybe also others) and that felt like a channel recommendation to me — what’s the channel name to your faves?

Randy Z Ochoa

I subscribed to the Patreon specifically to see this reaction because I saw the YT short and realized I needed to see the WHOLE thing.

GEMsMama

#Same 😬 I waited 2 days and was still surprised I waited that long 😅

Brenden Bauer

is only the watch along on here? or is there also the normal reaction?

pReview'd with Adam and Jay

Normal reaction being edited as I type this, will be on YouTube soon. Patreon content is almost exclusively the full watch along version.

Psudonym

I had to get this watchalong right away, it gave me the excuse to watch this movie a fourth time! Glad you guys enjoyed it so much! I think Sony Animation is full of bangers (and some real oddball commercial work), but if you loved this movie, I think you'd really, really like "Mitchell's Versus the Machines." I could easily see that one destroying Jay (in a good way) with its absurd story about a family coming together in the robot apocalypse. It's not exactly a NEW movie but I think people are waking up to Sony Animation quietly putting out some amazing movies that aren't just Spider-Mans.

fivefingers_through_fire

I so aggressively did not think I was going to enjoy this...but oh my god was it good

Crawnch!

OMG THIS WAS SOOO GOOOD!!

James Michael Morehouse

The bird reaction was GREAT! Jay clapping for the Tiny Hat, then the joint scream.

Shaun Swieringa

What is this movie doing to people cause I got the exact same story as both of you, I love it hahaha

NotoriouslyBratty

Not enough on YouTube. Bonus though, because I have young kids this movie is constantly on in my house. Watch-a-long will be easy to do.

E 1615881939

This was a passion project of so many creatives, who put so much effort into matching songs to the narrative and so much into the animation, story and tone. The first Song "How it's Done" had 56 demos, because they needed to hit that opening perfect

DinoJack100

Is there a way to watch this without the big timestamp on the screen?

Feena

I subscribed straight away for this too, and now I'm on Season 3 of The Bad Batch!

Black Crow

You pull open netflix and watch along with them. The time code is to make sure you are at the same place they are.

Taiylor LeDrew

the reaction to rumis marks was prefect lol I also love how invested jay got to this movie

Chris K

I believe this is the same animation team as The Mitchells Vs The Machines, which is a Miller/Lord Netflix-only movie, and is FANTASTIC. I recommend you guys watch it!

marauderluverz (Luci)

Finally got the chance to sit down and watch this reaction. I watched the movie with my kids a couple of weeks ago and then went to see the sing along in the movie theaters last weekend. Really loved everything about it. And I'm so happy you both enjoyed it so much. Also, loved the references to homeschool kids and SCC and MWS. I was a homeschool kid who was told exactly that about pop music and I have thought many times about how I would've never been allowed to watch this movie when I was a kid. Really loved the reaction!

Art by JJ

Speaking about Ronin Warriors, a sequel series is coming in 2026

An Inconvenient Woof

But, did they ever talk to Wendy about the movie?! I need to know!
