Hey Peaches! You've requested this movie a bunch, and we've wanted to watch it for awhile. It's Alien soft relaunch that reminded us how good Alien films can be. How will we handle the tension? Will we remember enough lore to understand everything? And will anyone fall out of there chair?

Alien Romulus Watch Along

Face huggers just want hugs, it's in the name.

This movie is a prime example of why you always read the terminals before you start pushing buttons

Chaos Owner

Your reaction did NOT disappoint! I believe that Rain was caught in the elevator shaft so that a face hugger could fulfill its purpose. Also, I felt the actor portraying Andy with different "versions" did an excellent job

this is people making the worst possible decisions the movie. I like it though. Rippley made good decisions that the difference that's what this movie is missing.

Austin Arminio

David Jonsson, who plays Andy, is amazing in both this and The Long Walk. Mark my words he is going to blow up

Shinigamiinochi

this is easily the best Alien film since Aliens. I knew Fede Alvarez would nail it after Evil Dead and you can really see some of Evil Dead's beats in this. Also is this where we petition to force Adam to watch Alien? (and you should also totally react to Alien Earth)

So, I’ll post something after I watch again with your reaction but I watched Romulus for the first time the night before your reaction came out. This movie is probably my 2nd least favorite in the franchise. Andy was the best part. I’m hoping I’ll change my opinion watching with cha bois. You know what was good? Alien: Earth. Freaking. Awesome.

Bee-Tea

Okay, Im back. Yes, I liked it much better watching with cha bois.

Cameron

They took heavy inspiration from Alien: Isolation, which is great because that game is incredible.

I really enjoyed this movie. As a big Alien fan, I was jazzed to see all the callbacks to all the various movies and even Isolation. They even redeemed the awful Hybrid from Alien Resurrection and the Prometheus goop. Also, yay, Adam fell off his chair! We were all hoping for it and you didn't disappoint.
