Hey Peaches! It's time to start the music. It's time to light the lights! Of all the legacy IP's that have been having a resurgence in the recent past, this one is one of the most beloved. And one that we really need right now.

Comments

michael denny

watching the Swedish chef just Swedish chef on you tube is my happy place.

So glad you two did this one, I watched it last week and it was so much fun. My nibblings are getting super into all the old Muppet Shows, too, thanks to this.

Kevin Rubio

First off, I want to thank the both of you for doing a reaction watch for The Muppet Show (pilot). Believe it or not, it's channels like yours that make a difference to the powers that be when greenlighting a new series. It means a lot to me personally because I have at least four very good friends who are Muppeteers, who participated in this pilot, and it would be great if the show gets picked up for them, their bank accounts and their families. Check out the credits again and you will see them listed. They are: Alice Denean, Drew Massey, Nicolette Santino, Kevin Carlson, and Jennifer Barnhart. Second. Yes, the Muppets have always been this subversive from the beginning. The original Muppet Show pilot was called "Sex and Violence." Here is a link to the pitch reel that they took out to the networks in 1975. https://youtu.be/t9gbQ0WhQoI?si=t0NXRYsxSio8euI1 Since acquiring the Muppets, with the simultaneous passing of their creator Jim Henson, Disney has never known what to do with them. Most of their past projects have been greenlit because they wanted to work with other talent - Jason Segel, Adam Goldberg, and now Seth Rogen. Here's hoping this one sticks. Finally, Jay I would like to help you in your quest. I will DM you.

Lauren Gisel

For the record, Adam rage baiting Jay over not knowing “modern pop stars” was hilarious and honestly pitch perfect for this show. Thanks for this reaction, all the fingers crossed it gets picked up!!!

Tim Scott

Y’all should do reactions for the original episodes during slow weeks 👍

Stephanie Krutsick

OKAY BUT I AM ASSUMING FROM CONTEXT THAT ADAM HAS SEEN SOME OF THE MUPPET MOVIES AT LEAST Pls confirm or deny

Chris K

At the very least, they've reacted to Muppet Christmas Carol on the channel

Chris K

Forget everything else, I'm so happy to hear that little James is now a Muppets fan! What a perfect thing for him (or anyone) to get into. So much back content!

Makhiel

As someone who's also never seen the Muppet show (because I don't think it made it to my part of Europe) this was pretty fun.

Chris C

You guys NEED to watch The Muppets (2011)

Drakoni

I grew up with Sesamestreet, and I think my dad occationally watched the Muppets but that's a veeery old memory. I remember my mom finding the Swedish chef (who is the danish chef in the German dub for some reason) incredibly funny, for me who I remember most are ernie and bert, Kemit and a bit of Waldorf & Statler. So different year but similar to Adam. It's mostly images, not really content. Happy to see it back. The skill that goes into animating the muppets, to really do that word justice and make them feel alive.
