Maul surviving and getting legs is easier to believe and suspend disbelief because it was Mother Tasmin using Night Sister magic.

It’s not the usual plot armor for me, it’s “aww crap, we killed him off too fast. He was cool. Can we re do that please? The Dark side could figure that out, right?” Then we can make a “hey it’s better to live in the moment and not waste it” message when he dies again.

apparently, they are on Janix not Coruscant that's why there is little to no Imperial presence, Sith can survive crazy bs during the old republic we had Darth Sion he was extra crispy then Vader of course coming in with his original recipe smelling ass. Hatred keeps them alive. Space magic man.

It’s in Maul’s contract that he gets Duel of the Fates. It’s only fair. Plus shout out to a bunch of this cast, aka Rebels’ own Vanessa Marshall as Rook Kast. Hera’s back. 😊 Of course she’s got a lovely long career besides. And I hear the spybot voice is Proxy from Force Unleashed, David W Collins. Gideon Adlon is Devon, the apprentice. Richard Ayoade has played multiple droids. Shocker he’s Two-Boots. He’s also the droid that finds Grogu in the prison break episode, season 1. Our Zeb, Steve Blum is 2 characters here. I remain un-shocked. Wagner Maura as Lawson is apparently very well known in Brazil. So there we are.

I’m stealing comments from other reactions because I’m learning too. This isn’t Coruscant. It’s a mid rim planet called Janix. It’s brand new for the show. I missed that too. Apparently Vario is one of the podracer species.

Adam, I saw it on your face - you were just WAITING to do that 'it's-a-me, Vario' joke! Ok, quick Maul Clone Wars recap: he took over Mandalore with the Darksaber, so many Mandos were loyal to him. Most of those were killed during the Siege of Mandalore at the end of Clone Wars, however, so these are likely the few remaining. From Mandalore, he started the Shadow Collective, his own crime syndicate, and got many of the other syndicates to swear loyalty to him - which, of course, eventually betrayed him when the Republic moved on Mandalore. It's worth checking out Maul's episodes in Clone Wars, if just for the fantastic moment when Sidious finally decides that Maul's become a big enough threat to warrant his attention - and he GOES FOR HIM.

Exactly, maul survived because he is unironically "local man too angry to die" the Sith don't have force healing but some of them can literally hold themselves together through sheer force of will , Vader was definitely the same thing even sidious was surprised Vader survived the lava which probably just confirmed how strong Vader really was
