In the age of streaming, I don't think a previously is ever needed. I think the barrels keep the weapon from melting like a minigun

Disagree. You forget the varying age of younger children and older adults, never mind people with any sort of brain condition, who might need the help. Some of my family would be totally lost without a “previously” because they’re older. Plenty of people also don’t binge. Or they might come back to an episode looking for something and not have to scan through the whole episode to find it.

In reconfirming the name of the planet I looked up articles, and they were all “while this looks like Coruscant…it’s Janix.” So they understand our confusion.

Matthew Fabb

The planet that they are on is not Coruscant but a planet called Janix. It's a mid rim planet that is controlled by the Empire but not important enough to be swarming with Stormtroopers or ISB agents like Coruscant. Also with Jay asking why Mandalorians are helping Maul, it seems evident that he hasn't seen The Siege of Mandalore in the last 4 episodes of the Clone Wars season 7. That's episode 9 to 12 of season 7 of Clone Wars in which Maul has taken control of Mandalore and Ahsoka and Bo-Katan work together to take control of the planet away from Maul. That would be great reaction content, if both Jay & Adam want to watch it. However, if even if you guys don't react to it, Jay should check it out. It's a wonderful story and is hands down one of the best Star Wars stories. Also the story ends just a couple of months before the beginning of Maul - Shadow Lord. Those episodes have some of the best lightsaber battles in all of Star Wars and it's one of the only times that LucasFilm Animation used stunt performers motion capture to choreograph the lightsaber battles. There's a physicality to the fights that isn't seen elsewhere in Star Wars animation projects.

Well in clone wars recaps felt like news broadcasts, i say make them interesting or don't have them, plenty of shows don't and they work just fine. They also use resources{time} that could be used for better things in the show

Season 2 has already been greenlit btw!

I don’t mean to harp at all, but if someone doesn’t remember what’s happening, (or in case of the Clone Wars, might specifically be too young to remember perfectly?,) that’s a pretty essential resource. And like I said, don’t forget it’s not always going to be just these 2 together. I’ve gone back to shows even years later looking for a reference, and it’s great when I don’t have to spend 20 min searching specifically because I forgot which episode was which. And I literally have been tested to have a good memory. (Thanks ADHD testing… I don’t have the hyperactivity part, I basically do the opposite, I hyper focus actually, which is common.) I’m sorry, but people can deal with the annoyance to help more people. Shows can make the choice whether a “previously” is right for them.
