Re Gen V: Looking at the way this season had moments where it felt like pacing got weird AND the Gen V being so sparse, I think Gen V story was in S5 but cut because it was set up for S3. I bet they’re going to try to reuse it for however they insert Gen V into the other projects.

While I think they should have had one more season or at least one or two more episodes - this was a perfect finale. No fucking notes. Your reactions are exactly where my kiddo and I stood on it. It was excellent. Exactly what it needed to do.

I was 50/50 on the finale... loved some and the rest was meh. After watching a second time with you & hearing what you guys thought, I enjoyed it more 2nd time through. ❤️ you guys!

There are a lot of nitpicky things people said about the finale. Yeah, it wasn't perfect. But all I cared about was Homelander getting what he deserved, and he did. Not just killed, but completely humiliated. In Game of Thrones, they made me HATE Joffery to the point that what they gave him as an ending felt hollow. The Boys made me hate and fear Homelander, and they showed as the whining whimpering little bitch he always was, then killed him. SO SATISFYING. The only thing that was a little dumb, was, why would Annie bring Deep to the ocean? I know why from a writers standpoint. But from a storytelling angle, she didnt know the ocean had turned on him and she did know that his powers were based on water.... so why bring him to the water? Didnt ruin anything, but it was weird.

I was so happy when Jay clocked "Dispatch" at the end! I thought the same thing! I enjoyed this ending. I just think it's telling how many people online wanted Homelander to win in the end. ALSO, I read where the actress who played Queen Maeve has retired and was asked to come back but decided not to.
