Hey Peaches! We're starting another journey, after the other world saving journey has ended. Watch as Jay watches for the first time and instantly falls in love with it. While Adam, on his second time through, discovers the deeper themes he missed the first time.

Oh dang, I forgot y'all had Akira. I should watch that one. But yeah, it's definitely a bit of a weird movie that makes more sense when you find out there's a whole bunch of the story that just didn't make it in.

Tyler Joyce

Welp. I know what I'm doing after work!!

Braden Freeman

Heeeck yeah, cancel all my evening plans, this is now the plan

Frieren means to be cold or to feel icy in German both literally and metaphorically.

Michael Enslein

Yup always up for a rewatch of one of my favorite anime. Going to enjoy this one long form.

This is I think my 3rd time watching Frieren, not counting other reactors, but it's the first time since listening to the soundtrack independently. It's stellar. I'd never really noticed it before because I was so focusing so much on the visuals and dialogue and story, but man Evan Call did fantastic work.

David Nance

Yeah basically all the names mean something in German that is at least tangentially relevant to a character trait of theirs. Though they probably ended up having to stretch after a certain point.

Doug

Man it was so great seeing all these suddenly pop up on my phone, I've been waiting for this

WOAH

Adam's wig is really very good, you can't even tell its there

Devastron

Ok, you got me to sub. Hope you guys will be able to slide into season 2 after this.

First time watching this with you guys. I've only heard how incredibly detailed the animation in this is, know nothing else about it. It really is frame by frame on everything, little to no shortcuts compared to other 2D animation. Very intrigued so far! The German names are kinda tripping me out and I almost feel like they are tiny spoilers xD Should have guessed the guy called Heaven wouldn't make it out of the first episode.
