Hey Peaches! This on is rough. Both Rand and Egwene receive training this episode. Rand really needed it, Egwene.....not so much. Nyeneve and Elaine work with another Aes Sedai to find a way to free Egwene from the clutches of the ruthless and straight up evil Seanchan. While Perrin and his new friends also head to Falme to save their captured friends.

The songs at the start is starting to charm me. The wheel is basically destiny , the dragon is magical savior, and the rest all have a part in saving the world. Adam saving the world is important but so is making sure the people you are saving still want you around when you are done. Can't really save everyone if you burn so many bridges no one wants to work with you when the time comes to save the world. Also nynaeve isn't holding back her power on purpose she has a "block' preventing her from using like a normal channler.This episode was hard because egwene scenes were rough. As a person of color dealing with the aspects slavery are never fun to watch

The Seanchan are truly the worst. It's a hill I'll die on, they're worse than the Dark One and Darkfriends. They're the evil of humanity manifested. Sure, Trollocs and Myrddral will kill people, but there are worse fates than death. Hell, there are worse things than the wheel breaking. This part of The Great Hunt was when I knew I'd forever hate the Seanchan. For Egwene, she may have lost the battle of this initial training, but there's a war yet to be had. She's strong, and hearing Maigan affirm her in that's only going to strengthen her resolve. And I get the frustration with Nynaeve. You're supposed to be frustrated. She's a stubborn, woolheaded woman with a savior complex that she is both incapable of fulfilling and scared of fulfilling. She's terrified of failing her people.She wants to be able to fix every problem she encounters, she's scared that leaning on others for help means she's not good enough, that she's failed them. It's not that she wants to go back to being a wisdom (though she does), it's that suddenly, the world has changed and she's realized she cannot heal every disease mundanely, she cannot protect her people from the forces of evil on her own, and the people she loves and cares for are spreading out across the world where she can't care for them or protect them. She's powerless, and the only way for her to get some of that power back is to submit to the same Aes Sedai who turned away her mentor, the same Aes Sedai harboring darkfriends like Liandrin who betrayed her and traumatized Egwene, the same Aes Sedai who just see her as some fount of power to be manipulated and controlled rather than a person with free will. And she's recently lost her daughter, even if it may have been a dream or some parallel universe, or what have you. She's watched her people die in front of her, helpless to stop it all. She's scared and has to confront her powerlessness and vulnerability, and the first step is to ask for help. Something she's dipped a toe into in this episode, even if it got Ryma collared and her warder killed (which has to weight heavy on her mind).
