ok adam you were thinking of suion knowing fisherman knots, but that is for later in the books, moraine never lost her powers at the eye of the world so this all new situations, i did think they were going to have it happen like you were thinking though

Moiraine losing her powers is a deviation from the book. In the books, the Aes Sedai know how to tie weaves off, meaning that they can leave an action, ongoing without having to actively maintain it. They changed it here to make it a skill from the Age of Legends that had been lost. Loving the reactions and excited to see the finale!

Jay, look away. This one has some spoilers in it for Adam. Thanks. Okay, so about the whole Book Moiraine plot thing that you said "Well, in the books it was different." Yes, it was. Book spoilers all the way through the end. (JAY LOOK AWAY!!!) In the books, Moiraine never lost her powers. We just straight up lost Moiraine for a while. Since it doesn't look like we're going to be going to Finnland in the series, one wonders if Moiraine ever will go away, and if her Shining Moment of Career Triumph in terms of casting the spell Chosen-be-gone will be accomplished some other way or another. Come to think of it, I wonder if Balefire as a concept is going to enter things. Could be cool if they emphasize that it is literally ripping threads out of the pattern if they did a neat CGI 'unraveling' disintegration effect fading to flashbulb afterimage with some nice lens flares. Anyway, I suppose we'll see whether or not this replaces the arc of Blue Girl Mo Goes on Holiday to Finnland or not.

We saw the bald Aes Sedai earlier in the season, meeting with the Mistress of Novices and various other Sedai. Her main clothes were grey - the Ajah of diplomats and mediators. She's just wearing a pink cloak over it.

Um omg this Old Blue giving the prophecy is played by Hayley Mills!
