FULL CHAPTER HERE —> PROJECT ROWDY 2-30

Brick took in a deep breath as he moved over the dinner table with plates in hand, the smell of food filling the Grayson house and probably wafting down the street too. Garlic, sesame oil, and something else with sugar in it; all of them going a golden brown in several pans Debbie was managing on the stove and in the oven, a baby on her hip while doing it all.

Even after her husband went evil and left, and her son vanishing for two months just to come back with another son from the same man, Debbie Grayson still somehow managed to make it look perfectly normal too, even when the baby had skin like a grape. Said baby was sucking on his thumb, somehow managing to have human teething instincts despite being half of two different alien species.Kinda raises some questions. Unfortunately, Brick didn’t have the answers and that was more  than a little annoying. Debbie didn’t have any answers either, but she also hadn’t asked any questions since Mark got back the week before; the baby’s skin color or race not seeming to matter to her in the slightest. No, the woman was currently more focused on asking everybody if they wanted chicken or pork belly.

“Both.” Butch raised a hand from the floor, his back on the ground as he stared up at a phone screen. “I’m good with both.” Several other voices answered just as quickly, most of them barely looking up from their phones to do so.“Mark?” Debbie poked her head toward the living room, the baby gurgling around his thumb. “I didn’t hear you.”“I’m fine, Mom.”“Mark, I gave you two different options and neither of them rhyme with fine.” A sigh came from the kitchen. “And have you been sleeping?”“I’ve been sleeping, okay.”“When exactly?”Red eyes slid over to Mark, the half-Viltrumite’s mouth open a second and a half too long. Debbie didn’t even look up from the stove. “That’s what I thought.”

ROWDY 14: LINKBrick didn't like medbays or hospitals, or whatever else people called them. Maybe it was how sterile everything felt. Hell, it could have just been the hum in the walls. Not loud. Not sharp. Just... wrong. Too clean. Like everything else in this place-filtered, vacuum-sealed, and dead behind the glass.

I prayed for times like these

Hum? The link is broken for me. Like it goes to undeadscribe but it doesn't show me the rest of the chapter.

Same

Actually I think undeadscribe is itself broken.

Rad Hazard

Get the f@#k out of here Oliver, Beckett has entered the arena! Looks like Trinity will soon become Tetrad! Also hilarious Rudy being put on the backfoot against Boomer in a logic argument. Bro got cooked, and everyone knew it! He even dug himself into a deeper hole! That memory will probably live rent free in his head forever now!
