The whole mind control thing reminded me of Batman Beyond with Robin, just the trauma of not being in control of your own actions. I do like when shows dive into the psychological effects of it instead of it being like cartoony mind control you'd see in Totally Spies or something.

I am not the biggest Cate fan, but if they find a way to redeem her, I am all for it. I am glad Jordan kind of confirmed what I suspected in the previous episode. I noticed while he was controlling them, he looked like he was in pain. I think he feels whoever he's controlling pain/emotion, etc, kind of like an emptah.

Spoiler warning if i end up being right but I think Cipher's "father" is actually Godolkin and i think they showed us that scene earlier in the season with Godolkin as a setup for that. I think when he passed out in that room with the all the clouds of V that he probably got some powers and that he may actually be controlling cipher and basically living as him, which would explain some of the weird things like cipher and sage doing it in front of that burned man, how he didn't feel any pain when he stabbed himself, and most importantly how he doesn't have any V in his blood. It could also explain why he is so obsessed with Marie, maybe he thinks marie could heal him or restore his body somehow with her powers

Sister Sage did say she had a present being delivered to Cipher; clearly it was Marie's sister. It's sad knowing that if Marie knew the full potential of her powers early on, she probably could've saved her parents. I thought the same thing when Marie saved that girl from bleeding out at that party in season 1.

If your theory is true then Godolkin could eventually take control of Marie's body and use her any way he wants. Maybe the only reason he isn't doing that right now is because he's in a weakened state.
