Clearly Howard is having some marital problems. I'm not sure what they are; he seems to be a caring husband, eager to please. He took the time to make her coffee with a cute design on top: I wonder if the peace symbol ☮️was a message for her. Maybe he's too neat or too perfect and expects her to be the same. I'd love to hear her side. He is in therapy, so it means he is making an effort to fix their marriage.

"Jimmy you shouldn't have called" of course he called. Jimmy manipulates Kim like this all throughout their relationship. He KNOWS she'll go for it. He KNEW she would turn around.

You do realize this particular big plan is her idea. He tried to talk her out of it a few times.

Respectfully I think you missed a lot of undertones in their relationship. Jimmy does try to "talk her out of it" but he does so in a manipulative way knowing that she is likely to do it. For example, in this episode, when he sees the man with the broken arm he immediately goes to call Kim. He tells her in a defeated way, going "well, we'll have another chance..." knowing damn well she is going to turn that car around. If he truly thought the best thing for her was to go do her job, he would have never called her and let her focus on what was important. He called her specifically because he knew deep down that she wouldn't be able to give up on the con. This type of manipulation doesn't even necessarily need to be conscious behavior. But I think in Jimmy's case, it partially is.
