Scar Tissue is one of my favorite books of all time, the Anthony Keidis memoir. Chili Peppers got big, he fell into addiction, Chili Peppers got massive, he relapsed again. He met the Dalai Lama and next thing he knows it's her0in again... I dunno if that's why they titled this episode that but it fits well in terms of the endless downward spiral.

I'm glad you're liking this season thus far. As I feel like this season is over hated. It's not one of the better seasons, but some say this is the worst season of television, which I strongly disagree with.

In S7 Ep8 Masuka jokingly said "One of these days I'm gonna track down some of my kids so that I can skip out on work". Ironic that one of his kids tracked him down.

personally I always felt this season was pretty good, just not as a final season of a long running show. but the sequel seasons kinda fix that anyway.

I'm glad you like the season so much so far, I really liked it as well on first watch. Though I think it carries some of the same things that I heavily dislike about season 7 personally. But I think this season is an upgrade from that. Idk man for me season 7 (especially) and season 8 are mixed bags but I really do appreciate season 8 a lot.

There are some twists and turns yet to come this season that I'm so excited to see your reaction to. As far as the follow-ons, I would recommend New Blood and Resurrection. Skip Original Sin.

The daughter thing I'd actually masterful follow up as Masuka first mentions he donated to a sperm bank in season 1. Them having the same laugh was so hilarious and perfect lol.

The final season of Shameless and True Blood final season come to mind when I think of BAD final seasons. Yes, that final season of The 100 was GARBAGE. I'll be rewatching that at some point this year (that final season) and I don't look forward to it.

No. Skipping anything in the original is just stupid. Some people don't like it, but others do. It shouldn't be skipped because you didn't like it.
