Congratulations on finishing this one! You're going to like resurrection A LOT

Nick Childers

When you gonna drop the first episode of resurrection it’s peak Dexter

S

Harry was just reminiscing of the days when Dexter was just an innocent boy because he wasn’t born that way but he can’t tell him

Janet

A second season would bring us Doakes and Matthews. They had it completely written after it was renewed and then they cancelled. I'm looking forward to Dexter Resurrection watch with you.

Janet

Christian Slater played Harry.

Jedidiah J

YOU CAN FAIL THE ACADEMY AND TRY AGAIN SO MAYBE THAT LOL

🎧🎥EVAN🎬🍿

The pain of the Season 2 renewal cancellation just hit all over again 😩 I still can’t believe they just took it from us like that smh.

About Debra situation. Yes, Idk what she was doing next 10 years from this moment. It's June 1991 and police training is 6 month (29 weeks) she joined patrol in 2001 (5 years before original show) she moved to Vice in 2004 (2 years before original show) and she was moved to Homicide in 2006 when original show starts. So it's just another timeline mistake based on retcon of her age and dob from December 7th 1979 to July 1973

Gage S

I need that resurrection episode 1 reaction asapppppp

matty

It's really a bummer they canceled the second season. I would've loved to see Doakes again. Masuka's actor was really pushing for it when it was announce it was canceled, but since then I haven't heard anything :(

Tomaskooo

That timing at the end when you thought that Brian will be staring at them dancing was the funniest moment ever xD

My biggest problem with this show is how it brings up some inconsistencies with the main show. The biggest being in season 2 everyone is in disbelief that one of their ow is the bhb even though the same thing happened 15 years earlier. You’d expect Aaron Spencer’s name to be brought up in season 2.

KnittingHaven

I liked this better this time on rewatch. I didn't hate it first time around, I would have liked more seasons, but I do rank it last of all the Dexter shows. I think a lot of people hated that there was never any suspense about Dexter being caught or killed, which was pretty much a constant thing on all the other shows.

Brandon

we need resurrection now !!!

Ethan Smith

That series was pretty good i can give you a little reminder, the actress who plays laura moser also played popclaw (A-train girlfriend) in the boys season 1

Lord Stirling

Imagine if you’d listened to the people who told you not to watch this 😂😂

Lord Stirling

Every season gets better on rewatch 🔥 And New Blood

Lord Stirling

Harry died ONE year later. Do you think Brian did it?

Lord Stirling

You missed when, on the boat, Dexter asked Spencer how he could do this to his son, and Spencer said “Is he?” When Spencer was arguing with his wife in the police station he said she had cheated on him with that dude for 14 years…

Lord Stirling

I think Brian knew Harry was right, but when he learned Dexter was a killer, he changed his mind and decided again to make contact.

Lord Stirling

Can’t worry too much about this stuff. This is the cost of expanding the lore. You get a lot of enrichment, but maybe a few minor inconsistencies. Worth the trade-off, IMO.

Lord Stirling

I bet everybody is hyped for Resurrection 🔥 Been fun watching MF on his Dexter journey. Getting reactions in real time for Resurrection S2 will be killer

Lord Stirling

Anyone notice Dexter uses a Kukri for multiple kills this season? Pretty badass. Very thick spine of the blade, and with that that weight, combined with the curved front section, it’s a serious weapon for hacking 😳 Hails from Nepal. Beautiful design.

Lord Stirling

When Dexter said that Spencer wasn’t born a monster, but that he was, Harry knew that was a lie. Dexter had tried to save the lizards Brian was maiming. He was a good kid. But the murder if his mom made Dexter into a monster, like Spencer was turned into a monster, by events in his life. So in that moment, Harry had the opportunity to give Dexter hope that he could change, by revealing that he WASN’T born a psychpath, but he weighed the options and decided to outright lie, thinking that it could cause too much damage to tell him the truth about what happened. He must have extrapolated that the truth could have worse end results than the lie. Dexter is a secondary psychopath, meaning that psychopathy was induced by trauma, as opposed to being a natural trait he was born with. Brian seems to have been closer to a psychopath from birth. There’s also a good case to be made that Dex isn’t a psychopath at all, but autistic. Some really good YouTube analyses of that.

And we’re on resurrection 🔥

Samuel

There are theories that Brian somehow had a hand in Harry's death and I think season 2 would have explored that which would have added another layer to it all. I think the mai theory about it is that we know how Dexter and Brian's biological dad died of a heart attack, but we then learned that obviously Brian actually killed him - Harry also died of a heart attack, so it's entirely possible that he would have done the same thing then. An interesting theory at least!

Almon

Something tells me the dad actually dies because of Brian making him overdose like he did with Dexter real fad

Volatile Vipxr

DONT FORGET. The new Dexter show has those stupid intro flashes that spoils the episode (like New Blood), make sure to avoid those!

Mochalover99

My headcanon is that Harry’s death prolonged Deb’s want to be a police officer.

Sarah C

I mean, what are you going to do about there being no suspense. It's a prequel. And I think there was still some suspense in not knowing whether or not Harry would die by the end of the season, since they had already retconned other timelines so even though it was supposed to be a year after he was almost killed by the nurse, they could have moved it sooner. And they managed to bring in some interesting plot twists despite it being a prequel.

Sarah C

I imagine that's not far from the truth. After all, there are significant differences between Deb in Original Sin and the Deb we see in season one of Dexter. She is much less confident in the first season compared to Original Sin and can't even stand up to Laguerta. I think that losing her dad, who she looked up to so much, really set her back in terms of confidence levels. It would explain if she waited a long time to go through with her plans because she wasn't sure she could live up to her father's legacy.

GenetheBook

All of which makes more sense than Vogel and Ketamine.

This show was a success for paramount and was already renewed. Its cancelation had nothing to do with not doing well and everything to do with the Skydance merger execs getting cheap.
