As I've promised I've been waiting for your reaction instead of watching this alone. ( There will be parts of comment I type live watching [and parts I add later in square brackets] ) It's not a cabin from s2 just some cabin in Norway. Love Ryan basically saying Homelander to fuck off. Gen V characters appearance in the season is a sick joke, they've appeared gave some papers to main chars did nothing and just left the story🤣🤣🤣 they basically shot whole Gen V dogshit season 2 to add them to story to build Marie Moreau character as a weapon to fight Homelander or do something useful at least and then they threw ALL OF THEM away from the show. [They could at least use Marie to hold Homelander not giving him fly away when they were fighting in the White House using her powers while Kimiko is charging up her tit-blast instead of making Ryan and Butcher's cancer do the job, which is ridiculous if we remember that Homelander was already faster than the sound when he was 11 as he said in season 2🤓catching onto A-train who was faster than the light in s5e1 and he just fights butcher and Ryan ignoring Kimiko who is the only danger to him because she can erase his powers] Weird they've kept Sage in a house after she became stupid just for gags? [She left them when I was writing this lol, here goes the budget, why wouldn't she just instantly go in her bunker read her books or whatever she initially planned to do. Butcher is basically just a person with a supe-cancer (I mentioned this in s5e1 comments already) and Kimiko he was cutting in half with the same laser vision in the same s5e1 suddenly nobody cares about his laser vision? WTF do you mean how did you wrote, shot, and CG this shit no questions asked???? Love Butcher vs homelander (humans) fight Billy just obliterating his non-supe ass homelander begging for his life and Butcher opening his skull with a crowbar fucking fire🔥🔥🔥Love they've killed homelander early without waiting till the fucking end. Also where are other supes or people? Everyone just disappeared when homelander was fighting boys LIVE on TV, IN A WHITE HOUSE? I've instantly knew as Terror died that butcher is going to deploy the virus, at least there is some consistency in the show after all... OH fucking hell they actually gave this a good ending? Everyone happy, supes are alive and everywhere, Annie is going to give a birth to another one and Vought is working as before only one dead is Billy fucking Butcher? There were a lot of good moments which is unusual for season 5 but this ending is a horse shit! Why did they do this??? Make a genocide, kill all the supes, destroy Vought why do we get a pony rainbow and happiness as an ending with supes controlling everything???

I'm incredibly mixed on this finale, I enjoyed it but at the same time I just think it should have been bigger and better. Similar to what you said, I enjoyed this episode and the character conclusions, but the problem is how we got here. We've spent all season fucking around glazing Vought Rising and its like they only got back on track with the main plot at the end of episode 7 and by that point there's not really any time left to wrap things up in a satisfying way. My problem with this episode especially is that Butcher trying to release the virus should have been a fully separate episode. Perhaps Homelander dies in episode 7 and the finale is about stopping Butcher. Having only 10 minutes or so of that plot really sucks. As I said, I guess I like the end result of this episode, but the execution and how we got here is extremely lacking to me. Plus I wish we saw a full on Homelander rampage, but oh well. Imo I'd give this finale a low 6/10

There’s no way Ryan should have lost his powers he’s a natural born supe. Man I really wanted to see homelander really snap and kill a bunch of people. Also the fight was good but it felt too easy. Really disappointed how they teased tf out of us with all of those promo posters and got nothing like that. The finale was fine I just help but can’t be somewhat disappointed.
