018 Kendo Star and Points
World: Highschool of the Dead/ Prototype
City: Tokonosu City
Time: 10:31 PM
While things were heating up between Rical and the busty nurse, things started to move in the dark all across the city.
In the center of the city of Tokonosu stood Yagura Tower, the tallest building in the city. Anyone standing at the very top of the tower would see the whole city from one end to the other.
When the virus spread through the city, a woman decided to use the tower as her main hideout.
Mano Tamiko was an up-and-coming kendo star in Japan before being diagnosed with cancer. At one of her fights, she collapsed before she even fought her opponent.
The doctors said it was most likely just accumulated stress that led to her collapse but wanted to do some tests to be sure. The results said she had six months to live, and the doctor said he couldn't do anything about it.
A month before her death date, a man by the name of Alex Mercer offered her a deal. He would heal her and give her power, and all he asked in return was her loyalty. She didn't need to think about it. She accepted immediately, not caring about what he might make her do, just that she would survive.
Currently, she stood on the edge of the Yagura Tower, puzzled. One of the hunters she sent out did not return when she called for it, not to mention all the other problems.
[Ring, Ring] The sound of a phone takes her out of her contemplation. Shuffling in her pockets for a bit, she takes out a cell phone. Seeing the caller ID, she quickly answers the phone.
"Mercer-Sama," She greets hurriedly."
"Ms. Mano, How are our plans fairing in Tokonosu."
"Not as well as hoped."
"What do you mean not as well as hoped?"
"Things have been weird in the city since I spread the virus."
"Get to the point." Mercers was growing more and more annoyed.
"Some of the areas I expect to have the most infected have the least. All I find is horribly burnt corpses and ash. I at first thought that it was the military or even Blackwatch. Still, I haven't found any evidence of the military. The only Blackwatch I have found is at the Gentek facility, barely a hundred men. And now even one of my hunters hasn't returned. The death of so many infected is slowing the spread of the virus."
"I gave you an assignment, and you promised that you could accomplish it. Please don't make me regret recruiting you. Find out what is going on and deal with it." As Mercer finishes talking, the line goes dead.
"Fuck, Fuck, Fuuuuuck!!!" as she screams into the night sky. Creatures start coming out of the darkness of the night at the sound of her voice.
Hunters are large, brutal, heavily mutated humanoid beasts with reddish, hairless skin, bulging muscles, sunken eyes, and a lipless mouth. Bearing a striking resemblance to a shaved gorilla
"Search the city. Find me who is messing with the plans!" Receiving the orders, the 30 plus hunters jump from the building to search for whatever or whoever is causing their mistress so many problems.
Across the city, two shadows can be seen moving at high speed over buildings using parkour instead of flying to ensure that the least amount of people see them.
The shadows finally stop outside a large school with thousands of infected wandering around.
Moving silently to the parking lot in front of the school. The shadows start to smash car windows. Setting off the alarms of all the cars to make as much noise as possible.
On the back of the shadows, black wings made of flames begin to manifest. Then, using the wings to fly, the shadows land on the school's roof.
The blaring of the alarms attracts the infected like moths to flames. Slowly, the infected started to move towards the parking lot from all over the school. Some even jumped out of windows from upper floors to get to the noise source.
Soon the parking lot started to be overcrowded with thousands of former students and teachers that are now zombies.
Watching from the room the roof, one of the shadows raises his hand, and a ball of black fire with dark blue accents begins to manifest on its palm, slowly growing larger and larger.
Once the fireball reached the diameter of about two meters, the shadow directed the flame to move down over the crowd of infected before spreading into thousands of smaller fireballs, about one centimeter in diameter.
The small fireballs would not be able to kill a low-class devil, but it's more than enough against the infected that are not yet stronger than humans.
Once, the shadow was sure that it could not make more small fireballs without losing control of the ones it had already formed. The smaller fireballs slowly spread out and stopped above most of the infected.
The hand of the shadow directing the fireballs was shaking slightly, clearly showing the effort being used to control so many fireballs.
As the shadow Lowered its shaking hand, the fireballs mimicked its action by lowering on the heads of the zombies. As the miny balls of fire touched the zombies, they immediately acted like they had a mind of their own and started spreading over the rest of the infected bodies.
The shadow controlling the flames let go of its control and let the flames do their jobs.
The shadow that controlled the flames looked at its companion and nodded towards it.
Knowing it was its turn to work, the second shadow took out two daggers instead of a spear. A spear's size would have been detrimental to the second part of the plan.
Once it had the daggers firmly in its hand, the shadow flew into the building and started the second part of the plan. It ran from room to room to look for zombies that survived the flames outside.
The amount of infected in the building still rangers in the hundreds as they were stuck in rooms or did not hear the car alarms.
The shadows take turns between burning the zombies or hunting in the building to increase the rate that they can pull this off in a day.
Using this plan, the shadows could kill as many as ten thousand infected a day and with every ten infected adding up to one point. The Shadows were making rical as much as a thousand points a day.
The rate that the shadows are accumulating points is more than ten times faster than if they were hunting beasts for points in the forests of the Phenex territory.
