Pulling this one from deep in the archives. Faith and I shot this set through the streets and subway stations of New York City back in 2020, and it still feels just as strong today.
The entire idea was built around contrast: delicate black lace against steel, concrete, traffic and the constant movement of the city. The trench coat and thigh-high boots gave it that classic New York attitude, while the steam, passing taxis and subway cars made every frame feel like a scene from a movie.
Looking back, I love how little control we had over the surroundings. The city never stopped for us—we simply worked with whatever moved into the frame. That unpredictability is what gave the photographs so much energy.
