Weekly Update 34/2025 (Patreon)

Hi!

I wasn’t very disciplined this week. Not many new renders, no posts, no weekly update — because life decided to throw a little plot twist at me.

My father-in-law ended up in intensive care with what we initially thought was a stroke. Fortunately, it turned out to be a heart problem instead — still serious, but not as severe as we feared. Since our family is basically all he has, everything else had to be put on hold for a while.

He’s a good man — unlike his ex-wife (my mother-in-law), with whom I’ve had perfect relations for the past seven years. By “perfect,” I mean we haven’t spoken once. Honestly, it’s been great for everyone involved.

Anyway, things are gradually stabilising, and I’m back at work. I did some maths: for the remastered version of the first two weeks, I’ve already created over 500 new images — more than a typical full game update. Sounds impressive until you realise how many cups of coffee that took. And rum too... How could it be any different...

Tomorrow, I’ll keep working to catch up, and if all goes well, Chapter One should be finished by the end of next week. You can also thank my editor, who introduces new delays as he believes further changes are necessary.
