Ladies and gentlemen,

The Steam review process is over. Also, polishing this official release is over. My nerves are...also over...

So, Chapter 2 is complete.

If you have the early access version, please download this instead. Some changes have been made to it over the last week.

If you encounter any bugs, errors, typos, or anything else that seems suspicious, please let me know. I'll fix it as quickly as possible.

any help getting the chapter 1 save to load in chapter 2? it says "import error, starting fresh"

Nemiegs

Hi! Is Chapter 1 completed?

Geko1711

Two days short of completing the chapter’s two weeks, I consider it incomplete and, above all, incoherent. It seems as though the developer wanted to wrap it up in a great hurry. What will they call the next chapter – 2/3?

Nemiegs

I understand that some players expected each chapter to always cover a full in-game week because that's how the gallery in the original game was structured. Ending Chapter 2 after Keys of Grace 2 was a deliberate storytelling decision. For me, that event is the narrative climax of this chapter, while the following weekend belongs to the next arc and serves as the opening of Chapter 3. From now on, chapters will begin and end with Keys of Grace events. As for the game being "incoherent"... that's actually why you were one of the very first people I asked to test-play Chapter 2 before release. 🙂 Back then, we had exactly this discussion. Your only objection was that the weekend wasn't included because the original game always completed the week, and the gallery was structured that way. I explained why I wanted to end the chapter at Keys of Grace 2 instead. So nothing about this part of the story changed between your test playthrough and the public release. We simply still disagree on where the chapter should end, and that's perfectly fine.

Geko1711

I thought that, as it’s still in the testing phase, you would finish it later, with just two days of the weekend left – which are less hectic than weekdays. I respect your decision, though, but I’m sticking to my idea.

Nemiegs

Really? You could look back at our Discord chat from a month before Chapter 2's official release, when I told you the weekend wouldn't be included. Back then, your description of Chapter 2 was "smooth and easy to follow". Now you're publicly writing "incoherent". If it's because of that weekend, I still don't take it seriously, because you didn't give any argument, except that "weekends in your game pass more quickly" and "your game has always been about completing the weeks". None of this is about the story or gameplay; rather, it's about habit and a reference to the old game's UI. If "incoherent" now refers to something else, your task as a tester was to point out the reasons why over a month ago. That's exactly why I gave you the game to test. Now I'm a little surprised by your actions and by "What are they going to call the next chapter - 2/3?"... I take that as unethical, given the circumstances.

Geko1711

Yes, the game is incoherent compared to the old one; having supported it for years and played it, you got us used to it that way as the weeks went by. Otherwise, everything’s fine, as I also wrote on Discord. But why, then, does Cpt1 end on Sunday evening? That’s what I find incoherent!

Nemiegs

Okay, I get it, but... Chapter 1 also begins on Friday morning and not on Monday morning, I mind you 😉 In the old days, I structured the Gallery in weeks only because it made it easier to navigate. It was purely a mechanical decision, while now I cover roughly two weeks, and the ending is determined by the story itself. Also, one game update back then covered just a single game day and never full weeks... Chapter 2 still covers roughly two weeks, and is at least twice as large as Chapter 1 and ends with the climax. Chapter 3 will pick it up there and begin with an almost unrelated story twist. And as it will cover two full weeks this time, it will be even larger than the previous one.

Geko1711

The game is ‘incoherent’ compared to how it used to be – that is, it used to end at the end of the weekend – and this is also evident in Chapter 1 of the new version; Chapter 2, on the other hand, is not. This is ‘incoherence’ as I see it. And ‘Chapter 2/3’ is simply because I wouldn’t know what else to call it, given that it spans two days of the previous week – this is yet another example of ‘incoherence’!

Nemiegs

Oh, man, this is becoming like shaving a pig - very noisy and absolutely no use 😅 I fully respect your opinion, though I struggle to see your point 🤷‍♂️

Undoge005

I second Owen request. No idea how to transfer saves. I got the same message he did and yes got the *The End* screen and saved there.

Nemiegs

You cannot load your save file from Chapter 1 directly into Chapter 2. If you want to continue with multiple playthroughs, the solution is this: 1) Complete Chapter 1 with save 1 2) Open Chapter 2, start a new game, and Import Chapter 1. Save the game once it starts. Now you have save 1 in Chapter 2. 3) Complete Chapter 1 with save 2 4) Open Chapter 2, start a new game, and Import Chapter 1. Save the game once it starts. Now you have save 2 in Chapter 2 as well.

Undoge005

cool is the file structure important or anything? Do the chapters all need to be in one folder for example?

Nemiegs

No. You do not need to care about this.

Undoge005

Alrighty, thanks for the swift response and indeed the game itself. It's one of the few Erotic novels that DOESN'T feel like 2-3 monthly release and hardly any content each time. SR old and new are both one of my favourites actually. Laura is a fantastic and beautiful character! Cheers.

Hello! I'm new here. New supporter and new fan. Just last week was when I was first introduced to this project, and I looked it up on certain forums. I played the original version and am aware of the changes and the reasons for them - won't get any argument from me, as various creators I follow went through similar issues last year and even continuing to this year because of platforms and even payment processors, or worse, people going on a mission to report all of their content. What I wanted to ask was if CH1 was accessible through CH2, or if I need to install them both. I know there is a save transfer set up, but I haven't seen this question asked, so figured I would.

Nemiegs

Hi! Thanks! Both chapters are standalone games. You do not need Chapter 1 to play Chapter 2. However, if you want to play Chapter 2 as a direct continuation of Chapter 1, you must complete Chapter 1 at least once on your PC.
