he said "hopefully the tears are gone"

Lead poisoning, Chrome 6, Blood diamonds. Sadly this backstory isn't far from reality.

yamina

"Hopefully the tears are done." Oh Jack... Well, by now he'll have found out.

True Monk3y

The Government broke the Law.

SimStu

The tears aren't anywhere near done flowing

Jack at 700: 🎉🥳🎊 Jack at 701: 💀😱😵

Oda writes great backstories but damn, they will get to you.

pontius copilot

Whats fun is this isn't even the backstory's final form! And that the backstories just get more depressing from here on out :D

Amphyprion

Maybe you should start considering uploading 2 and a 1/2 of an episode to make up for the 7m recaps every episode

Jalexxn

Bro wants it to end at the eyecatcher💀

Joshua

So something's tickling my brain now. We know Law was supposed to be the next Heart executive. We now know the previous executive was Cora-san (unless there was some seat swapping with Trebol, Diamante and Pica. Is that why Law's crew is the Heart Pirates?

SewMariana

The tears are NOT done.

chrisis

Laws backstory in flevance town is the best in the show imo, its quick, its gut wrenching, and shows how Law is just another victim of the world governments greed for power. They used such a beautifully tragic song for that scene and I don't think it's ever been used again. It's called "Loneliness, Solitude" and things are not good when I play that song I'll say that much. Can't wait to see your reaction to the rest !!

Kkeesha

Jack is laughing at Senior Pink now but little does he know..

The Otter Man

you forgot about Vergo being the second heart executive, but yeah Law named his crew that as a dig at doffy

yamina

There is at least one more episode I can think of immediately that uses it that's coming up in the near future. But aside from that I don't think it has ever been brought back. Either way seeing Flevance burn with that track in the background is without a doubt such an iconic moment that the track is always going to be associated with that moment first and foremost, even should it make a return in the future.

DiamonDust

It's not about the heart seat itself, it's about Corazon. Law's crew is is the heart pirates in honor of Corazon who had the heart seat and is named "heart" in Spanish. It's just in tribute to him because Law loved him. That's what I think, anyway. I don't think there's any other answer that would make sense.

DiamonDust

I forgot just how fucked up the backstory of Flevance was, Jesus Christ that was dark. I think what makes it even more painful to witness is that it's not so different from our world. Also, a great small detail to point out is how Baby 5 cried when Law snapped back at her when she slapped him in the backstory. In present day Law also made her cry in an identical situation with his glare after she slapped him again. 😂

Monkey D Nathan

Gosh that butterfly from this reaction made my heart beat different knowing what I do now.

Joshua

Oh yeah. That makes sense. I suppose we'll see that soon.
