No whole cake arc is PEAK I must agree with the original comment

Galleon

Welcome to adulthood, Sanji. Love isn't real.

Jay P.

Yeah, the Pudding reveal was so heartbreaking the first time I watched it. The worst part is that she played the naive, innocent act so well. Then that last part where Sanji is trying to light his cigarette. Gets me everytime.

Yeah, this has always been one of my favourite arcs. And it always baffles me how with this arc, I can go from loving a character, hating them and then adoring them again. WCI is such an emotional ride.

Back in Fishman Island, I forget which episode exactly, but after the fighting when Luffy talks to Big Mom, all we get is a silhouette of Big Mom but we do actually see Pudding with her third eye.

canadian shnitzl

I didn't want to spoil anyone before this episode. Every time i see pudding i think to myself "fuck this bitch" and this is a big component of why i do

chopchop

WCI is peak buddy

chopchop

Lol I knew this twist would hit him like a truck bro was questioning if that was even pudding at first 😂

Conor Murphy

Another chip of Jack’s psyche slowly being broken off

Justin

Banger episodes and reaction Jack!

Jiru

That reveal is realy heartbreaking, I also fell for it the first time. Funny thing the first time we see Big Mom at Fishmen Island we already see Pudding with her 3 eyes chilling beside her.

SimStu

idk if it's in the sub too, but in the dub, Brook calls Big Mom "young lady" cause he's ~90 years old

erueka6

The objectively worst mess and slop in the series history yeah sure

pablo

sanji is also empty because his sacrifice served no purpose for his friends theyll still die

pepperomashka

Finally caught up with reactions (was 5 videos behind) and what a wonderful journey we're having! Such amazing fights and plot twists and showdowns and my favourite one is back to save the day. Jack stop with the NOSE THING I BEG YOU ahahaha how many times did you simp for Brulee and Linlin smh

chrisis

the fact that you hated pudding so much means that she's a good character!! also Luffy being one of the only people STILL fighting for sanji after getting the shit beat out of him by him gets me everytime

Laura Alonso

I thought I had the anime betray face all figured out until I met Pudding. At first, I was just like Pedro I wanted them to capture and didn't trust her at first. But then trusted her after seeing her interactions with Sanji.

Zamasu Yo

Oh man! I wish sub had that as well. Such a tiny little detail

Veritas

It did though

Wesley Owens

Well at least Sanji still has Viola...

DiamonDust

The sub also has that. In Japanese he says "ojou-san" which translates to "young lady".

DiamonDust

We can have multiple peak arcs guys. Tbh all OP arcs are peak from source material, it's just Toei pacing that makes it not peak at times in anime.

I'm so glad the pudding reveal floored Jack completely, his reaction was priceless. He couldn't even process what he was seeing for like a solid 10 seconds lmao. It's so hard to see this one coming even though there are slight hints in retrospect like Pedro sussing her out, Pudding not going to the shore and Brulee + others showing up instead, Pudding being shown going outside (before encountering Reiju), Reiju recognizing the shooter, and Pudding being the one who finds Reiju. Then Oda makes you think that Pudding told Luffy and Nami that she was going to sacrifice herself or run away, this man is a genius. Pudding was acting like the most angelic creature in One Piece, and Oda makes you want to root for her and Sanji. Oda REALLY cooked with this betrayal. Like damn, Oda gotta be a manipulator cause that shit was crazy making Pudding Sanji's sole salvation, and then doing this to Sanji. Jesus Christ, this poor man. It's so fortunate that he happened to overhear Pudding through the window, though. His luck is actually fantastic in a way, and it's also poetic that it was Sanji's kindness and love for Pudding that brought him to that window that will end up helping him here. His kindness still paid off.
