In a lot of other languages there's gendered words. An example in german is der, die, das,, all mean "the" but are masculine, feminine, and nuetral respectively. Sessha is a gendered example for "I" in Japanese.

bro giants are enormous, urashima is big but I don't think he's nearly as tall as any giant we've seen so far. I bet if you stood kid hajrudin and urashima next to each other they would be nearly the same height.

When Wano gets remade in the future like Fishmen Island now, everything that has happened until the end of Bakura Town can be done in like 4 episodes without losing any essential information. The amount of dragging early Wano has is crazy. Wano in general, in my opinion, is an overextended arc. There's a lot that if hadn't happened, wouldn't have changed anything in the end, and on top of that, the anime extends it even more with filler scenes and the episode pacing in general with unnecessary flashbacks, still images with dramatic music, etc. That's why I think it's so good they are taking this 6-month break in the anime now, so it doesn't happen in what's to come after Egghead. They killed the Reverie with flashbacks, they oversaturated Wano with bad pacing, One Piece doesn't deserve this. Maybe it will become like Bleach. The viewers wait a whole year for 13 episodes, but every episode gets straight to the point from minute 1, movie-like animation all the time, no BS. If One Piece needs to take 6 months every now and then not to turn 80% of the episodes into a waste of time, I'll wait happily.

that entire clash at the start, plus the heavy breathing, lasted approximately 2 and a half minutes; pretty sure it barely even lasted two pages in the manga.

i think it'd be cool if they came in to adapt a cour every 6 to 12 months, and in between just re-edit the rest of the series to be watchable

Jesus Christ, I can feel my life slipping away with this pacing sometimes. It baffles me that some people prefer this pacing to filler or recap episodes.

No no no... Reverie did it RIGHT. Recaps are perfect time fillers to prevent anime from catching up to manga because the audience can skip them easily, like how Jack skipped them. The actual crime is adding boring shots that never existed and replaying those same shots over and over. Toei loves to do that, and they are way harder or impossible to skip cause they are woven in between canon scenes. One thing you have to realize is that One Piece will never be seasonal, because it makes them more money to have it ongoing and they want to keep their timeslot on TV. The best we can hope for is either filler or recaps which don't ruin canon pacing.
