Its pretty heavily implied that whatever destroyed lulusia is causing the sea levels to rise but we dont know how the mechanics of it work because if its just a big hole wouldnt there just be some tsunamis and floods from the destruction's aftermath, where is all of this extra water coming from?

even the director said theres no direct connection between the two series, he just carried over the name to draw more attention to X

Rewatching these episodes now after they aired week to week and I'm already convinced Egghead Part 2 will be the greatest stretch of animation in the entire series and I don't think any of us are ready for that.

personally i just find the new voice jarring it sounds nothing like old franky we all get use to it yes, but i wonder why they couldn't find a VA that could sound like Kazuki Yao

i didn't even know franky's va retired when 1124 dropped so i was completely in shock and taken back when i heard his new voice. I understand why he decided to do it, i just wish they would've found someone that sounds somewhat similar to Kazuki Yao rather than a completely different voice but it is what it is. Regardless this next batch of episodes are beyond anything i've ever witnessed in op and i can't wait to see your reaction to it all.

Unpopular take perhaps, but I really like Franky's new voice actor. I miss his old one obviously but the new guy is really good in a different way, and I can't wait for him to settle into the character.

Jack you missed the one line narrator told us that the earthquake caused the sea water level to rise one meter. It happened 6 days after the destruction of Lulusia. The epicenter of the earthquake also can't be located, which is unusual for a natural disaster, so it is implied that the cause of the flood and the tsunami must be man-made.
