Daima is essentially the Prologue to the Super Era of the franchise in my eyes. I think the only reason Goku could go SS4 is due to Nevahs spell. A Namekian Old Man makes me think he Unlocked and Unleashed Goku's potential as a Full-Bred Saiyan and that's what made it possible. Almost like a genetic unlocking of potential like Guru did for Gohan, with a little Elder Kai Unleashing of potential as well to fill the magic side of things. Just my thoughts on how all the pieces come together. I'm also of the belief that we're shown SS4 here during the prologue for a reason. We know Goku and Vegeta will go on their own journey during the Super Canon, so this is showing us what's possible while playing into some of the deeper lore we've been getting on Saiyans. (Broly movie, and some Manga canon stuff.) My theory is that U7 Saiyans are meant to achieve SS4 and by being righteous enough to overcome that primal tailed rage, this is how they achieve Godhood. The red hair seems SSGish to me. I believe Goku and Vegeta have been working off a cheat into the realm of Gods for them as U7 Saiyans, because that ritual and the forms (SSG and SSB) are actually forms meant for Good-hearted by nature U6 Saiyans. I'm also of the belief that Goten and Trunks are genetically more U6-like because Goku and Vegeta had overcome some righteous rage to become Super Saiyan and this had an effect on the boys potential, explaining why they could go SS so young, have no tails, and why they are so different than Gohan. All just thoughts piecing Dragon Ball together in long form. So I fully support watching OG

I thought Daima was kind of like a what if, alternate universe type story, so they made ss4 canon indirectly that way. Kind of like gt was a kind of alternate timeline type story.
