I know you noticed the kids that Kuma healed ended up being his and Ginny's friends years latter ... however i don't know if you realized this yet because you didnt mentioned it, but those 2 kids ... plus more Kuma and Ginny friends the fisherman ended up becoming Bonnie's pirtate crew ... basically Kuma and Ginnies long life friends ended up helping their daughter on her journey to look for her dad again... 🥹 (God please i beg they're okay... since we dont know what happen to them cuz we only rescuied bonny on the entrance of Egghead... 😢)

also Oda always give a major "theme" to each arc, for example WCI is all about family, fishman island is all about "racismn and taught hatred", Wano is about "legacy and becoming the best version of yourself" (momo, luffy, zoro, sanji, yamato, etc.) ... In Egghead is very clear the theme of this ark is "the will on living things" ... with Kuma's tragic destiny ... however remember at the beginig of the arc Lilith mentiones that "no matter how many times she modifies the sea beast... she is no able to FULLY controll them" ... and they "animal instincts" show to hunt sometimes (that's why they attacket the sunny) But also with Stucci ... we know she is a clone of the old Wevil mom, but during the Kumma flashback even herself mentions "it's ironic ... who might suffer more? a clone without "will" or a human that's about to lose it?" ... and Vegapunk stops her and tells her Stucci you're human cut that train of thought you have.... So i like how Oda is hinting that no matter what ... it seems humans have and "indomable spirit" or will ... that no matter how many time passes and the World Goverment keeps trying to oppress, eventually someone like Kuma or Nika will always ended up showing to fight to protect others...

Reasonable breakdown when Vegapunk delivered that "troubling" line. The VA did a damn fantastic job. Also yes, it's confirmed that Kizaru did in fact fed Luffy.

i had to take a break when kuma's flashback started, i stopped watching at episode 1131 and today i decided to watch the rest and my head is spinning... i cried so much that my head feels like it's going to explode fr and i just realized that today is father's day here so yeah one piece destroyed me again for the thousandth time idk

When I said you'd be on the floor after this I didn't mean it literally, but I get it bro. I've watched 1136 like 3-4 times and I still end in a sea of tears afterwards. Hands down the best backstory in the show up to this point imo and I don't know how Oda can top that but I wouldn't be surprised if he found a way. It's incredible how far this backstory goes, going from like 48 years ago or wtv it was to the beginning of the show, arlong, thriller bark, marineford, sabaody, and seeing how much of a silent effect Kuma had on not only the straw hats but the rest of the world. Without him the story wouldn't exist as we know it but he was only ever hated and dragged through the mud for it, and he never asked for a single thing in return except for bonney's safety. I don't remember where I saw it but I read a comment saying that Kuma is character that Oda wrote with a golden pen and I couldn't agree more. Everything he did, everything he sacrificed so that Bonney and the straw hats could continue mean so much to me and I will remember these few episodes for the rest of my life. GODA

The ending of Kuma's backstory broke me in the manga. With voice acting and animation, it devastated me. From the moment he starts running until the end of the episode, I'm just drowning in tears.

Some episodes ago, when they ran to get Sunny to leave, Luffy mentioned softly to Bonney that he knew Bonney cried the whole night after seeing Kuma's memories, and he's glad that Bonney isn't sad anymore and can laugh a lot with them now. It feels like Luffy did the big brother role really well since Wano, (Tama, Momo), knowing that he's 19 and Bonney is 12 now. Even though he grew up as the youngest in his family. Plus, he's the hero Bonney has been searching and looking for all this time.. I'm so glad that they found each other.
