Yes, Blackbeard occupied Drum island and Ace went after him leaving Luffy a message to meet up in Alabasta. Luffy never gets this message but ends up meeting up with him anyways.

Episode 6 is the first one I really dislike - you don´t reaaally get the feeling, that Nami is a great Navigator and also Vivi growing onto the Straw Hats before Alabasta. It wouldn´t be major change if Nami came out nontheless of her sickness, predicting a storm and making sure the crew is safe by renavigating and not getting caught in it with Vivi saying "only the most skilled of the skilled Navigators can predict Grandline weather", and THEN deciding getting Nami healed is the fastest way (meanwhile Nami telling her about the news of Alabasta keeping it secret as to not worry Vivi). That would´ve made their bond even stronger and I am disappointed because that could have been done in what, 2 minutes? Not much CGI? Missing the genius story telling in crucial parts because taking your liberty with Mr.3 and the giants was fine as their characters were still portrayed correctly. I hate that change as much as in the first season and Namis village not knowing her burden, especially her sister.

The sevens episode is so good, it is insanely well adopted. The vibes of the backstory were as perfect as it could be - the rest that didn´t line up perfectly didn´t bother me as much.

Yes, Wapols devil fruit was always able to do that - the henchmen Chess and Kuromarimo don´t have devil fruit powers but they were combined by Wapol munching them together. Kuromarimo uses his sticky Afro to fight.

Pretty sure the 1 had a static fruit. The other 1 didn't pretty sure tho.

i enjoyed season 2 better than the first one but i gotta say, being a super fan i cannot help being overanalytic so i have my gripes with quite a few things. but i think the biggest one has to be the marvel levels of dialogue.

This is how I'd see it with the seasons and arc splits, assuming they will stick to 8 episodes per season with decent climaxes/cliffhangers all around. Also maybe they could do a recast for the crew during the time skip. Season 3: Alabasta can be 6 episodes, Jaya 2 Season 4: Skypia 4, Water 7 4 (end at arrival to Enies Loby) Season 5: Enies Loby 4, Thriller Bark 2, Sabaody 2 Season 6: Amazon 2, Impel Down 3, Summit War 3 (end with Luffy falling down) Season 7: Summit War 5, Flashback 2, Time-skip preparation 1 Season 8: Sabaody 1, Fishmen Island 4, Punk Hazard 3 Season 9: Dressrosa 8 Season 10: Zou 2, Whole Cake 6 Season 11: Wano 8 Season 12: Egghead 4, Elbaph 4
