If you like Shuhei Hisagi I have great news for you there are THREE entire fucking novels specifically about him called Can't Fear Your Own World that take place after TYBW that have approval and lore assistance from Tite Kubo. I have no idea why they made those but they exist and they're pretty good. There's also a Don Kanonji one that's absolute fire.

Joaquin G

I'm hoping they animate those novels after TYBW but idk if thats high hopes lol

If you watch the Ikkaku flashback again before he used his Bankai he said all he wants to do is follow Kenpachi Zaraki to the death. He said he's never shown anyone his bankai before because if he shows his bankai he could get promoted to captain (he thinks anyway). If he's promoted to captain he can't follow Captain Zaraki and there's no point for him to be a soul reaper. You aren't allowed to turn down promotions to captain in Soul Society.

Also Komamura is my fucking favorite HE'S SO FUCKING COOL AAAA

I would enjoy that a lot I've always been a novel enjoyer and I would love to stick it to the wiki owners that they're canon (they're in denial of the novels because they don't think Tite Kubo's word means anything they only want to consider the original manga canon which always bothered me).

Hisagi's fight got a lot of love from the animators.

I really like these fight because it shows the ideology of each of their squads and how they fight and show respect for their captains. (Even if 2 of them are with Aizen now)
