Pretty much every time a injury doesn't look that bad but character act like it is, it's censored. In this situation again, Hiyori's injury was censored. In the manga, she wasn't just stabbed by Gin, she was literally cut in two with Shinji just catching her upper body, which explains his desperation and her bleeding this profusely. Yammy feels like such a side quest, even tho he's the "strongest Espada", which is a title nobody takes seriously. Even after all these years, it still feels like the twist of Yammy being the 0th Espada was literally put in last second to give the Hueco Mundo Crew something to do, while the Gotei 13 are literally fighting a war, but it never added anything and like you said, kinda takes away the power of the Espada like: "Really? That ginormous meat bag with the personality and intelligence of driftwood is the pinnacle of all hollows and Aizen's Attack Force? THIS guy???" Like if he's so strong, why did Aizen leave him behind in Hueco Mundo to rot and not take him into the fight against the Gotei 13 WITH the Top 3 Espada? Leaving the "strongest soldier" in his army behind for no reason? This "twist" is so non-sensical, it borders on being a plot hole. But that's Aizen for ya with his 6D Chess brain. Playing a game, that us, mortals could never even try to comprehend.

Hiyori was bisected in half in the manga, also I like the subs on disney plus better, the video at least doesn't break and go from 480p to 1080p back and forth now. Edit: Oh I just got to 286... Man... like video players let you put the subs wherever you want and change the font and edit the subs and everything. Every company wants us to switch to streaming but then takes our powers away from us. We were getting more value out of media when we downloaded everything in the 2000s than we do now with these, "infinite libraries" of streaming services.

Whats really annoying about the bad quality of Bleach, is that the dub version (at least on Disney+) is HD. But for some reason the sub is still that weird 480p

Hiyori's wound from Gin was HEAVILY censored in the anime. In the manga Hiyori gets completely sliced in half at her waist and it's just her torso when she is speaking to Shinji on the ground. For espada power scaling Toshiro basically said that a Vasto Lorde arrancar under Aizen's control would be stronger than the average captain (not 3 captains). This was definitely true. The other thing is that only numbers 1-6 espada are confirmed (or theorized) to be vasto lorde espada. The rest are Adjuchas besides Aaroniero who was a Gillian which is why they were shown to be weaker than captains. Basically what this means is that a Vasto Lorde was already at the highest stage of hollow evolution before becoming an arrancar and as such they are much stronger than other arrancar. Also just FYI everyone calls that hollow form Ichigo used vs Ulquiorra "Vasto Lorde Ichigo" because it resembles how a Vasto Lorde hollow looks (very humanoid). As for Yammy, he is just a fraud that does not deserve the number 0, I doubt he was even vasto lorde he is prob an adjuchas too. He was less impressive than even number 5 and 6, it's hilarious. This is why many fans (including myself) go with the interpretation that the numbers are just sorted by total amount of spirit energy rather than actual combat strength. Ulquiorra is also part of this reasoning, because most people say he is the strongest espada due to his second ressurection.
