one of the reasons why dressrosa is my favorite arc in onepiece is the fact that many amazing characters will be in there, as you can see with barto! i was waiting so long for this episode because its such a nice reveal that barto is just a freaking fanboy lol

Rebecca and the Toy Soldier are such fantastic characters. I teared up slightly watching this backstory again. I'm not sure I ever noticed the flower petal in the Colosseum being the Soldier telling Rebecca he was still ok and was watching over her, that was such an amazing detail. He prob left one at the Colosseum every single day, it's so cute. 😭

Yep. The anime adaptation can get way too sluggish at times with lazy repeat shots and other stuff like that, but at the end of the day the Dressrosa arc itself is a beautiful masterpiece as far as I am concerned. Oda is so good at introducing new characters each arc that you become almost immediately invested in because of how compelling their stories are.
