Episode 652 is when Cavendish turned from a character I liked because he was funny to one of my favourites hands down. He's vain because he knows how beautiful he is, true, but even so he has honour and morals. He wants to be the most popular but he's not so self absorbed that he doesn't care for others or lets injustice slide even if it has nothing to do with him. His goal of wanting to defeat the Supernovas because there is too much attention on them may seem silly to others, but he IS willing to put his life and skills on the line; using them to win it back. He's not expecting it to be handed back because he thinks he deserves it, like a lot of self absorbed characters would do. Seeing him stand up for Rebecca who he knows nothing about just because it's the right thing to, even when people might have well turned on him as a result for siding with her when he wants to be loved and telling them to shut up when they were cheering for him to take her down tells us a lot about this man.

I was dreading the watch along on 653. Its one of the only episodes of any show that was burned into my brain because of how truly awful Giolla is. I don't wanna say that Oda messed up with her, but she for sure missed the mark

Flychu

When I was rewatching One Piece last year, Dressrosa was the arc where I hit the arrow key the most. Every time Giolla and the weaker characters appeared I would just skip ahead. You said it once in other episodes. "This shouldn't be a struggle". Yeah this was one of those moments. The reason why Giollas devil fruit deactivated is because she was unconsious for a bit.

Carter Schunk

The Giolla battle gives me Wanze battle vibes, in that its a trash battle with a trash villain in an otherwise peak arc 😂

pablo

defeating a devil fruit user usually reverts its effects, which is what happened to giolla and moriah

Tyro533

nah, she wasn't as bad in the manga since her encounter was limited to like 10 panels in total. They stretched it out waaay much more than any other fight up till now in the anime

Anjola

haha or like a girl in 2024 meeting bts

Xeth

Toei pacing hitting hard for this one 🤣

Vinny Deluca

Yeah Dressrosa is pretty much the Worst the pacing ever gets lol just too much stuff going on everywhere

Sam

Damn Jack being real hateable in this episode

Jesse h

The way you pronounce dragon is giving me a hemorrhoid.
