UPDATED:

MELBOURNE SHOW CANCELLATION Due to the new policy forcing all  arrivals into Australia from midnight tonight to go into 14 day  quarantine our recently announced Melbourne headline show has  unfortunately been cancelled.

Ne Obliviscaris guitarist,  Benjamin Baret was due to fly to Australia tomorrow and so would come  under these new rules making it impossible for him to perform.

This is in addition to bassist Martino Garattoni who is already quarantined in Italy...

We had really hoped to make this work, but sadly just like everything  else at the moment, this show is not going ahead in the end. Until next  time...whenever that may be.

All ticket sales will be refunded in full.

ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Oh man the drama of the past week.... I'm going to do a video about it all tomorrow, but in the meantime here is the good news!

We have managed to find a venue to put on a last minute headline show on the original Download Festival date here in Melbourne, Australia! This is the only show we'll be able to do in Australia for the whole year. Considering the current world climate who knows this could be the only show we are able to do for the rest of 2020!

So we are going to make the most of it and stream it here on Patreon for our members so stay tuned for more details on that.

In the meantime, for all the Aussies, you can buy tickets which are on sale as of right now at the link below. They are limited to only 300 so get in quick!

Thanks everyone for your ongoing support!

Moon Moon

Wish I could be there but we’re banned in Australia... anyway good news for both the band and the fans. Enjoy the show!

Dakara

Will all tiers be able to view the live stream?

David

Holy shit. That is so awesome!

Ne Obliviscaris

We mostly do them for $25+ but I think for this one we'll do for everyone from $5+ to give as many people as possible chance to be involved :) - Tim

Christoph Klein

Good luck to All and I hope, I can manage to watch this one! I guess, we have to understand, that the world is in "emergency mode" now. Germany has been shutting down most of pubic life (Schools, clubs/bars, Theaters, sport events, etc.) yesterday for the next 4-5 weeks…. Take care!

Dina

So glad that you were able to work something out despite the crazy situation! And the live stream is a nice bonus for us non-Australians :-)

Alex Koumoundouros

I'm torn. I really want to go see you guys as it has been a while, however many experts are pointing out that Melbourne will soon be in a lockdown and I would prefer to avoid gathering in large crowds so I think I'm going to have to sit this one out.

Valerie Syren

Does this mean that Martino was able to escape the Kung Flu in Italy and make it to Australia? And will Dan be allowed to leave the US when he's finished recording? Also, woohoo live stream!! Thanks!

SecretReptoid

Devestated I'll miss out. Literally bought tickets to Download because you guys would be there

Ne Obliviscaris

Dan is lucky and arrived a few hours before the new travel ban came into place. Tino is still stuck in Italy. Benji is now stuck in France so the gig is cancelled :(

BK

Disappointing news for everyone - the band and fans alike. Best of luck to everyone, wherever you are, whatever you're dealing with now, with this virus situation. Let's hope we all get through it soon enough and life can go back to normal.

Anca

It is a bad situation and I have seen it already with many other bands and artists. Cancellations and lots of money lost in the process. Unfortunately... I was expecting it, given the rapidity with which the virus is spreading and how easily it can be transmitted. I believe hard times await all of us, and people who depend on activities that involve gatherings of all kinds and going out, travelling a lot to perform, they already started taking a hard financial hit. Supporting artists now is more important than it was before, of course within possibilities. But every little effort matters. Stay safe everybody. Let's hope this virus is not going to kill 2020 entirely...events wise. And that we all are going to get over this life challenge ..unharmed. This is one of those times when other lives do depend on our actions.

Eva

I am so sorry for everyone! Just want to say I share Ancas view, we‘ve seen tons of cancellations here as well. Even if time are challenging: Let’s stay positive and cherish what we already have, in this case your music. And please tell us what we can do to support you 🖤.

Avintha Fonseka

Hi Tim, sorry to hear about the show being cancelled. If there's anyway we can help you guys recover from this loss, let us know. Maybe you can put up pre-orders for that live DVD or something?

Dina

Really sorry to hear. But as Avintha has already mentioned: Now would be a good time to release a DVD to make some money. I'm sure that especially now people would be really interested in something like that, as they are not able to go to any live shows.

Dixie Bunn

It's a shame to not get to see all my favorite artists because of this, but I would much rather see then stay healthy so they can pick up performing as soon as it's safe. ♡

Valerie Syren

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this! What a pain in the ass this whole thing has been for everyone. If us patrons can help in any way, we'll be more than happy to do so. On the positive side, perhaps this will inspire you guys to write "Plague, Part II."

Tina

💔

Tina

They're not sure if they would make money with a DVD or if it would only cost them money.... that's one of the reasons why it hasn't been published yet....

Dina

But maybe they would sell more DVDs now because of the current lack of concerts. Or they could just release it digitally on Patreon, as they have already considered. This would probably be the savest way.
