I believe the band is just sending out a reminder - it's already the 21st in Australia as of 10 pm EST (my time zone) - so if you're in the EST like me, then less than 24 hours to go \m/...........and fast forward to 9:30 am EST Saturday morning, and the realization that my understanding of timezone differentials may be limited :/ .....oh, well. Still going to enjoy the recording of the event, nonetheless :)

It's not the same for sure, but including an extreme vocalist in an acoustic show on limited rehearsal time is not that straight forward. Next time we might try and get him on some percussion though :-)

I'm truly blown away by the musicality and complexity of your music and I keep falling in love with one song after another.. Well. Now that I have watched the accoustic show (the recording, that is) I have to admit this is not for me. It was very beautiful and you displayed great musical talent, but that's just not NeO for me. I fell in love with Ne Obliviscaris because your music combines these very different elements in such an incredibly harmonious way like no other band does. It's Yin and Yang, heaven and hell, brutal and gentle, hard and soft, extreme metal and classical acoustic music. This acoustic set included only one side and although I wouldn't mind to have some acoustic bonus tracks on a album, I would NOT go to an acoustic only show. This was lacking important parts that make your music so wonderful and extraordinary to me. This is probably an unpopular opinion and I guess I'm the only Ne Obluminati who feels this way, but I had to say it.

Well, this was a one-time thing. I loved the show and appreciate its ephemerality , but no one is expecting NeO to become an acoustic band and host BBQs from now on ;)

things like these are how bands fall apart. Exclude one member form something or majority decide something and soon after person ABC leaves the band due to "artistical differences". hopefully I'm unnecessarily pessimistic here. :(

You are unnecessarily pessimistic :) Don't worry,the band won't fall apart.This was just a thank you show for all the people that supported the band and i'm sure that if the guys had more time on their hands they would've introduced Xen's vocals as well (you know it's what i was looking for the most). I'm fairly sure he didn't mind the fact that he didn't participate in this as much as you think he did.In fact i'd argue it would be quite the contrary,if you ask me :). Bottom line,don't worry without a reason to worry.

Tina, tina, tina...have no fear! The thing I love most about NeO is the contrast between extreme intensity and melodic beauty. I love intense music and I love melody and being able to do both of those in NeO is what makes it my dream band to be part of. There was no exclusion of Xen in doing this acoustic show. We decided to do something extra as a bonus, as a THANK YOU to fans, and something we had never tried before and honestly had no idea how it would come out. We spoke to Xen about how to involve him, but he was not that interested this time around because he is not a clean vocalist or a percussionist and it obviously doesn't work whatsover to have extreme vocals over acoustic tracks. It was actually his decision to not be on stage for this performance seeing there was limited time to allow him to work on something to involve him and though it was our preference to have all members involved, we were happy with how things went and excited by the reaction from fans there in person and online. Regardless of whatever we do in the future, however we expand or experiment with our sound in new directions over time one thing you can always count on is that our primary sound and that combination of extreme and melodic elements will always be there. :-)

We did record it with better film/audio but haven't seen how it came out yet so I would say...maybe, but definitely aiming to have something better online regardless. And due to how popular it's been we may look at doing a proper recorded version or DVD or something if there is enough interest from fans. :-)

Not quite sure what you expected Tina? An acoustic show is a stripped back version of the music that takes away the intense/extreme elements to focus on the quieter side and it's not that easy to include an extreme metal vocalist in that as it simply wouldn't work at all. This is in no way replacing our normal sound, just a fun thing off to the side, so hopefully you can in time appreciate it for what it is without needing to compare it to normal NeO stuff at all, as there is no need to compare really. - Tim

i really missed xen. Lol, I loved what Tim did with the last couple verses of devour me colossus though. That melody was so perfect. I would have liked to see xen just talking his parts into a mic though. Haha, that's what I do when I have a metal song in my head while in an environment that wouldn't enjoy harsh singing. I usually just speak the lyrics with the correct rhythm and use a fun accent like old school British or something. Regardless..... You guys did amazingly. I loved every bit of this. Including the breakdown where the audience all nodded instead of headbanging. XD you guys rock!!!

Thank you ! I hope to see this show in good quality sound and visual, if you make a DVD, I buy it. Maybe soon in France in headlining, it was really too short in Rennes (France 2016.11.03).
