Hey friends! 💚 As I mentioned earlier, this Inktober I’m not using a pencil for my sketches, and honestly, it’s been such a fun challenge! Skipping the pencil has really helped me trust my lines more—even when they’re a little imperfect. And you know what? I’ve actually started to love those wobbly lines! They give the drawings this extra charm that straight, polished lines just don’t have. It feels more real, more alive!

Plus, it’s great practice for my hand and eyes. I’m learning to be more confident with every stroke. And since I’m not erasing or tweaking things all the time, it saves a lot of time too—just ink and go! It’s freeing in a way. There’s no overthinking, just letting the pen move and seeing where it takes me. I’ve been enjoying the spontaneity, and in my next post, I’ll share a little trick with you so you can learn to draw without a pencil too!

Are you using a pencil in your sketches this Inktober? Let me know—I’d love to hear how you’re approaching it!

Heyyy. I'd love to skip the pencil sketch too, but without any markings I'd draw a mess😅 especially houses... they are sooo uneven - not only wobbly- just really crooked houses. Wondering how you did this wonderful houses😅 I love them
