Inktober Day 11 🧡 (Patreon)

Hello, angels! 🧡
Let’s talk tools for Inktober! You’ve been asking about paper in my sketchbook, and here’s the scoop: I stitched it myself using spare pieces of Canson The Wall paper! I don't often draw on this heavy-weight paper (220 g/m²), but I’ve been using it for my Inktober house sketches, and I want to share some of my thoughts with you.
The Good:
The paper is fantastic for preventing bleed-through—even with heavy marker use, nothing seeps to the other side.
Its bright white surface really makes colors pop, giving a vibrant finish to your work.
The pages have a smooth texture that works beautifully for clean, crisp ink lines.
The Not-So-Good:
Blending markers on this paper can be tricky—it creates strange gradients, more like watercolor mixing.
If your markers are not freshly filled, expect streaks, which can ruin the smoothness of your work.
The paper only handles 2-3 layers before it starts to shine and show unpleasant streaks.
While it feels smooth, after the ink dries, there’s a slightly grainy texture.
In this video, I talk more in-depth about my sketchbooks and the various paper types I use for my sketches. I’ll also dive into more tips about working with this paper—stay tuned for all the behind-the-scenes insights! 💫
Have you tried this paper before? What are your thoughts?
