Originally, I had planned to take Tuesdays off, but I ended up not doing that. From now on, I’ll take wednesdays off (and thus upload 6 days a week). As such, I’ll be more efficient in my work.

As for what I’m working on:

-Piton de la fournaise

-Iwo Jima (this is one of the most fascinating volcanoes I’ve ever worked on)

-La Garita caldera

You captured my attention with the La Garita video. Every time I open Google maps to look for a city out west, I usually open with a wide view of the country and I always wonder about the dark circular field in the lower west of the US. And I always think, that has to be something that erupted eons ago — a bit like my return to school after a journalism degree because geology utterly fascinates me. That you finally answered my questions about that circle had me heading to Patreon after I watched at least 10 of your current videos. I only spent a year in geology because the math killed me. However, I learned a lot of science that you don’t get while studying journalism and all of it proved very helpful in my journalism career. Since retirement I now teach journalism at LSU and have been bitten by the geology/volcano bug again. I’m looking for a list of websites, books, resources to dive back into study of those topics. I love your videos!!!
