Lava dome complex volcanoes like Unzen have a certain special appeal to me. One such complex is located in Greece, which produced a 2 kilometer long lava flow in 258 AD. I am currently working on thoroughly covering this volcano as part of a tie in for an upcoming sponsorship. Any questions about this volcanic complex?

Is it still active and what is its chances of erupting again? Hmmm 🤔 sponsorship = volcanoes + Greece. Maybe olives.

The craggy, rocky top of the Uzen volcano reminds me of the craggy top where the first fissures opened at Fagradalsfjall. Are these visual similarities a coincidence?

The ground underlying where Fagradalsfjall first formed is covered in pumice, presumably from much older lava dome forming eruptions. (older than the adjacent tuya)
