Hello again my friends...

I have been feeling much better since that craziness that had started over a month ago. I've been working on this update and getting as much done as I can. I did have a little issue with some renders that didn't match up for some reason when I tried to continue working on a scene I had started on. Some lighting weirdness that just wouldn't go back to looking the way it did before. I hated the idea of just moving forward and leaving it like that so I started that scene over again and completed it all in one go. Luckily it wasn't a super long scene. I am about a third into the rendering process now, so work has been steady. All of the coding is already done other than coming back through it and adding the coding for the music. I always do that part last because I like to actually play the scenes while listening to music options to make sure they fit the scene/mood.

I've also been working on some images (when I can) that I plan to put into a "Serenity" picture book of sorts. I will be offering this up via a paid post. It will be available to $5 and up tiers, or you'll be able to purchase the post if you prefer not to sub. These will be special images, not just some new pictures. For example, some will be a few of my nicer (early) renders redone with better lightning and effects. The picture book will include a collection of all of my original characters showing how they looked when I first designed them. A collection of user-requested renders (from when I did custom renders for my higher tier subs). And finally, there will be a collection of new renders featuring Last Human characters. I'll probably be throwing in a small series of screenshots from Studio Neo showing some old scenes as they appeared before the actual render. I've had a few requests for stuff like this because I guess people are just curious about the process. But anyone who has ever liked anything about Serenity will probably like having this in their collection of AVN stuff.

I know Serenity hasn't been everyone's cup of tea, but there have actually been a LOT of fans through the development of this game. Many loyal fans who have been around since I first started and they never left. Back when I first started on Serenity, I had no idea it would take off. Hell, I was just making a story that I wanted to see, then sharing it. I never would have imagined how much it would actually affect my life. Whether people made fun of it, defended it, loved it, hated it... it got plenty of attention. With the ending of this little 2 chapter series coming up really soon, I have been really looking hard for the right story to tell next. Camilla is one for sure. But I have other ideas also. Anyway, more on that topic later. Still have this episode and one more to go and that's still a little while.

That's all for now. Thank you guys for your patience with me. I appreciate it. Now back to work. Have a wonderful weekend, love you all! ...Fire

Big fan of both projects, I always look forward to the next update regardless of the timeline since I understand life tends to get in the way. Cant wait for the next drop 😁

MR Spike

when is it coming out

Glad to hear you're feeling better Fire! Excited to see what you've been cooking for Serenity! As far as the art book, digital is fine, but would that be something you'd consider doing a physical copy for? Or are the logistics for that too much? Just spitballing, as shipping logistics usually suck, and I have no clue what printing would be. But something I've bought on Kickstarter before for art books.

Don't forget the fans who came on board later on. Still, glad to hear that things are looking up for you. Keep taking your time. You are working for yourself now, after all, and you need to enjoy this. As for the book, maybe you can figure out a way to produce a printed version. That is tricky, I admit, but it may be possible. I know that people would want to have something they can hold in their hands. Just a thought.

Ohh shiny sword. The plans sound good, do what you can get well then release when it's ready. I personally have Serenity as one of the games I truly enjoy and play for myself. It with LH are requested to me. People love the Nekos or at least your Nekos that don't look underage.

DMG Entertainment

That would be the best way, a kick starter to cover the costs without the risk of losing money.

Huge fan of both games bringing a breath of fresh air, and meaningful relationships in an industry with so much dark adult themes. New story with a Lesbian MC/fem protag? sadly is a hard pass. risky, cant think of one that was a hit, refunded a few myself that ended up being really terrible corruption loops.

I’ve loved Serenity from the start and have had no complaints throughout. Cool story. Interesting array of characters who all have their own personalities. The MC is fun to play - not stupid or ludicrously uptight like a lot of AVNs. Fun crossovers. I liked bringing the mother back within Serenity. So many AVNs use loss of parents/memory as a beginning - you did it differently. I love that the MC acts like a young adult, and not a 14 year old in an 18 year old’s body. Serenity and LH would both be in my top 10 AVNs that I personally enjoy the most.

n2thefire

Uh, I never said anything about having a female MC or lesbian.

Jay

that's my bad, assumed based on Cam and her domain.

n2thefire

Cammie might like both males and females, but she prefers the D. Keep in mind, the Camilla game is from her past.
