Y'All Want a Single #40: "Big Brother" by Pulse Ultra (Patreon)

Thanks to Josh, we take a look at a weird time in music history: where being friends with a C-tier band like Taproot could actually lead you to getting a record deal. That's what happened with Montreal's Pulse Ultra, who got a major-label deal, put out one album, and here we are reviewing a single from it.  While the song shows some promise, it certainly wears its influences on its sleeve, and has the same feel that many one-off nu-metal singles do: it would sound good on a video game soundtrack.
